-he owns a small cactus that his mom got him on a trip to a local greenhouse when he was younger. he still maintains it, and its kept on his windowsill.

-he has an extreme distaste for onions.

-he attempted to keep a diary, not for sentimental reasons, just to write down things he would otherwise forget. turns out that he forgot to keep writing in it not even a week after its purchase.

-he's tried (and failed) to teach himself french. it's something he's never told anybody, except polnareff. he picked the subject back up on the trip to egypt with his assistance, but didn't have the time or ambition to continue learning it. although, he does know a few basic greetings and phrases.

-he met a girl about his age at a cafe in egypt, during one of his stops. they engaged in subtle conversation for a few minutes before an emergency occurred and he had to leave. the two never crossed paths again, which was a shame; that was the first person jotaro had ever felt any sort of real romantic attraction to, even if it was just for a few moments.

-his first girlfriend was in his 5th year, and he only dated her because she asked him out, and he was too awkward at the time to say no. they never really hung out or spent any time together, and she moved away before the next school year could begin.

-he's the type of student that doodles in the margins of his notebook. it's an old habit he never broke that stemmed from primary school, and it continued through college.

-he lost his virginity in the backseat of a 1980 toyota corolla. he was half drunk, and it was the last day of high school.

-he was very hesitant to attend school in america, simply for the reason that he was fearful to leave his mom behind.

-his first long term relationship began when he was attending university, at the age of 20. the girl, victoria, was 18, and they later married.

-his first date with victoria was at a local carnival. he ended up winning her all the prizes she wanted and more, because of star platinum.

-during college, his dorm-mate kept a pet chameleon that jotaro had grown strangely attached to. since then, he has held a fondness for reptiles.

-his favorite food is his mother's chicken alfredo. he had his mother write down the recipe, and he almost exclusively ate that during his freshman year at college.

-he nearly got arrested for trespassing and swimming at an illegal dock at 1am, but evaded the police.

-he almost wasn't a marine biology major, and nearly went into business, because his grandfather was so insistent that he keep the family business going.

-his favorite fish is an angel fish, and he keeps a few as his pets. he's a good and responsible owner, and is very attached to them.

-he's only cheated on a test once: an organic chemistry test he didn't study for. he got a 97%, with his stand's help. he considered doing it again, but his professor was very trusting and kind, and he felt guilty.

-he constantly gets invited to frat parties; popular ones too. however he declines almost all of them, instead favoring a quiet night in or one spent alone, entertaining himself in the city.

-he gets homesick a lot. he often calls his mom, or even his dad, to ask questions he probably already knows the answer to, just to hear their voice.

-he gives up smoking for almost a year in college, but gets sucked back in after a particularly bad day.

-graduates with one of the top grades at his university, and gets several job offers immediately following. he denies them all without question, opting to pursue his PhD.
