"Momma!! Momma!! Nau'Jour is awake!!" Shandrice yelled as tears ran down her face as she looked at her son eyes that were finally opening

Debbie ran as fast as her legs would let her as nurses and doctors ran into the room as well checking to make sure the patient was alright.

"Nau'Jour sweetie? Can you hear me?" Shandrice asked as she held his face gently

Toosii looked around the busy room seeing everyone in his face he licked his lips feeling the bitter taste knowing that his lips were dry and needed chapstick, he seen his mother and grandmother from the corner of his eye seeing them looking at him waiting for a reply.

"Yes momma I can hear you." Toosii said in a raspy voice

"We going to need the room so we can make sure everything is okay with him." The nurse on call said

"Okay we will be waiting outside the door sweetie." Debbie said as she grabbed ahold of Shandrice hand leading them both to the door.

"This is a miracle that he woke up I got to call the family." Debbie said with tears of joy coming down her face

Shandrice waited at the door watching the nurses and doctors helping Toosii making sure everything checked out, she wanted to be by her son side but she knew the doctors had to move around.

"You're aunts and uncles are on the way as we speak this is nothing but God!" Debbie shouted

The guys walked quickly into the hospital making there way to Toosii room Shandrice called August letting him know that Toosii was wide awake, hearing that his homeboy was up and speaking brought tears to his eyes. They all stood in the door watching Toosii eat the pudding cup that was placed on his tray for lunch.

Toosii looked up seeing his homeboy's standing there like they couldn't come in "Fuck is y'all niggas looking at?"

Blaze started laughing as he walked to Toosii bedside "My dawg back a nigga thought we lost you."

"Hell nah I'm still here ain't shit taking me out this world but God." Toosii said

"Damn right you remember anything that happen?" Tysheem asked

"Hell no all I remember was hearing gun shots next thing I know I'm on the ground and I hear Ayanna screaming my name." Toosii said as his face soften

"You seen her yet?" August asked already knowing what he was thinking about

Toosii shook his head "I couldn't go in there I did wrong by her I could've protected her yet I was on some petty shit."

Shandrice sat in her seat hearing her son blame hisself for Ayanna wrongdoings she was angry, her son shouldn't have to carry such a burden on his shoulder when it wasn't his fault. He didn't ask for them people to shoot at them in Shandrice eyes Toosii couldn't do no wrong that was her sweet baby boy.

"Nau'Jour don't talk like that nun of this is your fault and you know it." Shandrice added her two cents

Toosii sucked his teeth "Momma you don't understand the situation, me and Ayanna relationship had a lot of things going on in it we both played a role."

August nodded his head he was glad his friend was owning up to the things he done that's all he ever wanted from Toosii was to hold accountability to hisself.
