I sat there in my bed watching the tv. It has been almost ten minutes since the doctor left us in here to wait. I snap out of my thoughts when the doctor walks in happy signing some paper work. "You are free to go! There is someone out in the lobby waiting for you right now!" He said while walking out of the room. Jonah happily jumped off of my bed and grabbed his bag and started packing up his stuff. I stood up and went into the bathroom and changed into a sweatshirt and jeans with my black and white converse. I got out and saw Jonah was waiting in a chair for me. "I can't wait to see mom!" He told me. "Ya I hope it's her that out there." I said while walking out the door. We walked for about five minutes walking down all the hallways until we finally made it to the lobby. There was only one person in there. It was a lady who was reading a magazine. She had brown hair and pale skin. She had purple glasses on and had on a little bit of lipstick. She was wearing a bright blue north face jacket and leggings with high heels. She put the magazine down and looked at us. She smiled and stood up. "So you must be Samantha and Jonah Smith. " She said nicely. She stuck out her hand. "I'm Mrs. Kendra." She stated while Jonah and I shook her hand. "Hi Mrs. Kendra." Jonah said while smiling. She smiled back. "Well hello Jonah." She said in her perky voice. "So are you ready to go?" She asked. I looked at her weirdly as confusion took over my mind. "Go where?" I asked her. She looked at me and smiled. "Well I'm here to help you find your mom, and recorded by law, you have to stay in a(n) orphanage until we do find her." She told us. I looked down at my feet. "Oh." Was all I could manage to say. She looked at me and sighed. "Don't be sad, we'll find her. And in the mean time, you get to make new friends at the orphanage." She told me while kneeling down to my hight. I looked up at her and nodded. She smiled and grabbed our bags and started to walk away with us following close behind her. I thought I never saw this coming. The day I ended up living in an orphanage. We walked outside and she started talking breaking the ice. "Oh you guys will love it at the orphanage. Samantha, your rooming with two girls named Jessica and Stacy. You have one of the best rooms in the orphanage. It has a mountain top view of Colorado Springs. And you'll love the girls at the orphanage, they are such sweethearts. " Mrs Kendra told me. "Cool." I told her. She unlocked her car. Jonah and I got in the back seat of her red Ford Focus and she hoped In and started to drive. "And Jonah, you'll be staying with a very nice boy named Henry. Your room is right next to your sisters room, so you can still talk to each other at night." She told Jonah. "Awesome." He said. I turned my head out the window. I've never been below the mountains, just on top of them. So it was beautiful looking at all the mountains in the distance. The wrest of the car ride, Jonah and Mrs. Kendra talked. I sat out looking out the window wondering if the girls at the orphanage where going to even like me. Or if my mom was ever going to find me. I sighed and stared out the window. This is going to be a long drive.
