Here are the list of basic speedrunning terms used in this story. These are all widely used in the speedrunning community. (Note: this is not a very accurate list, so refer to official lists of you want the best and most accurate definitions)
Sub-xx seconds = Less than xx number of seconds.
Glitch = A bug or problem in the game. Sometimes glitches can be taken advantage of
Glitchless = No bugs/glitches
PB = Personal Best time
WR = World Record time
Any% = Completing the minimum requirements of getting a time, finishing any amount of the game so long as it qualifies or not completing the full thing with all its secrets/extra parts. The sole objective of an Any% speedrun is to get the fastest time, not needing to fully complete all the parts of the game
IGT = In-game time, or the time measured in the game. Usually, if pausing is allowed, it wouldn't count as time during paused session. In this case, the in game timer is pretty accurate, off by up to 0.016 seconds at most
RTA = Real Time Attack, or the speedrun time measured if you hit "start timer" by yourself instead of using the IGT. (Real-time)
There are way more, however these are the universal terms.
