Not Again, My Dear. (Diluc x Reader) ON HOLD

~Chapter 1.~

  Ganyu slipped her hand into her quiver and gripped an arrow in between her fingers. She moved her hand to her bow and clicked her arrow onto the string. Her shoulder pulled the bow gracefully into form and let go. The hilluchurl she was aiming at screamed in agony at the hit. Grabbing another arrow from her qui- 

"You're an idiot." The sudden remark made you jolt your head up towards the voice. Standing above you was your co-worker with a sly smirk.

"Are you finally back to reality?" He cocked his eyebrow. "What are you daydreaming about? I've called you like 5 times."

"I'm so sorry. It has been a very long day of work." You sigh.

"No worries," He pats your shoulder. "Boss said you are off. Have a good night." He walks away without a second glance.

You stretch in victory, letting out a long yawn. Getting up from your chair, you head home.

As you arrive home you set your keys on the coffee table and head straight to the computer, not even bothering to get undressed.

Lounging into the office chair you open up Genshin Impact. 

Right as you click on the login button, the room starts to shake. You think nothing of it because earthquakes are common in your area, but when you look back to the monitor you are blinded by an engulfing white light streaming from your computer.

Five seconds went by in a daze. The burning blaze shining from the computer slowly made you pass out.

The sun shines through the window placed strategically above the bed. The beams of light glance onto your eyelids. You groan and stretch across the bed to avoid the gleam. Finally opening your eyes, you sit up and look around the room. It's not a big room, The door is only about 5 feet away from the bottom of the bed, A vanity and mirror sit to the right of the door. 

After examining the room you were in, you pull the sheets off of your legs and try to stand up. With a failed attempt you fall to the floor with a big thud.

You hear rushed footsteps in the hallway before a sudden knock on the door.

"Come in...?" You look towards the door tensely.

The door slides open and a girl with dark brown hair walks into the room.

"Amber?" You ask in a whisper, quiet enough for her not to hear.

She sees you on the floor and runs up to you. "I heard a thud from my room and came to make sure you were ok!" She slowly helps you up onto the bed.

"How are you feeling? Do you know what happened?"

"No- no, I don't. Where am I?"

"Well, I was exploring, trying to find hillichurl encampments, when I came across a badly beaten up hillichurl camp and you laying down, passed out next to it! I rushed you back to my house and here you are now!" She glides her hand across the top of your head, in a way of comfort.

You must've had a very confused look on your face because she stood up "It's ok if you don't remember. As long as you are ok!" She starts walking toward the door. "While wrapping your bandages, I noticed that you are wearing some very weird clothing. Let me go grab you something to wear while you rest and recuperate." Amber dashes out the door.

"What the actual fuck is going on right now?" You glance out the window and see the town square of Mondstadt. Suddenly everything clicked in your mind and you jumped up, obviously forgetting about your fall only moments before. You groan in pain and clutch your side.

Somehow I was transported to the world of Teyvat?! is this a dream? I spot the mirror out of the corner of my eye and I walk over.

I seem to look normal. I'm just badly beaten up... You slide your hand across a bandage on your forehead. I can't believe this is happening right now.

your thoughts were interrupted by the door behind you slowly opening. You turn around just in time to see Amber walk through the door.

She glances at you and then down at the clothes in her hand. "I don't know your favorite color so I just grabbed some neutral clothes out of my closet! I hope you like them." She walks over to the bed and sets the clothes down. "Please feel free to get dressed. If you are hungry then come downstairs when you are done." She gives you a sweat grin before skipping away, closing the door behind her.

You walk over to the bed and search through the clothes. She has weird fashion, but you don't mind. Pulling off your old clothes you notice all of the cuts and injuries you have. 

I don't even remember getting into a fight.

You slip on the clothes, avoiding all of the bandages across your body.

She left you a dark red button-up shirt, a greyish corset, a pair of oversize black shorts, and some short white boots.

You stare at yourself in the mirror. What is with these people and their obsession with corsets?

You walk downstairs into the dining room. Amber glances around the corner outside of the kitchen.

"Ah! I knew that outfit would look good on you. Please take a seat, I'm almost done making breakfast."

Pulling out a chair from under the table, you sit down and watch Amber work in the kitchen.

She grabs plates from the cupboard and sets food onto them.

"I hope you like pancakes!" She walks out with two plates in her hand.

"I do, thank you..." She sets the plates down and you start chowing down, realizing that you are a lot more hungry than you thought.

"So," She looks up from her plate and gazes at you "What are you doing in the Mondstadt area? As a member of the Knights of Favonious, it is my job to make sure that everyone visiting Mondstadt is trustworthy and safe!"

Shit. What am I doing here?  You decide to make something up, as to not bring up suspicion.

"Ah, I'm just traveling around Teyvat."

She smiles in excitement "Really?! That is so fun, when I was younger I wanted to travel wherever the Knights of Favonious took me. Look at us now, both of us are making our dreams come true!"

You laugh at her sudden excitement.

"Well then, Traveler! I can show you around Mondstadt then if you would like!"

You glance down at your half-eaten pancake. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance, I need to get back home but for now, I can just enjoy it?

"I don't want to take you from your work. But if you want to then I would love a tour!"

"Oh of course! Showing visitors around Mondstadt is a part of my job after all!"

You and Amber finish your food and head outside. Ambers house is in an apartment building right next to Mondstadt's main square. She starts walking, and you pick up pace behind her.

This is going to be an interesting week.
