Chapter 4

Neji's POV

After putting Shiyuki into hospital, Guy-sensei meets me face to face to talk.

"Neji, I just told you to spar with Shiyuki. Why did you try to kill her?"

"I did not try to kill her! I just don't want her to be a ninja. It's too dangerous for a girl like her to do. She should lead a normal life as her personalities are not suitable for a ninja."

"Neji, listen here. Your wish is becoming a great ninja, right?" I nod. "So is Shiyuki's. Why would you shatter her dream? What would you think if somebody did the same to you?"

"But-"

"No is no. You should've sympathized her. You should've helped her. We are a team, and teammates are supposed to help each other. This time I forgive you, but never beat your teammate again, especially Shiyuki."

"...Okay."

Sympathize and respect her dream, huh? Okay then. I won't swat her again. A weak girl like Shiyuki will give up soon.

Shiyuki's POV

As soon as I'm released from hospital, Lee calls me to join him. Guy-sensei brings out two green jumpsuits, just the same as his.

"These are my gifts for you! Light, durable,... These are the most suitable outfits to train!"

Lee's eyes are as bright as flash. Nah, I don't think I will wear this, it's weird...

"Okay guys, let's start!"

"Whaaaa? Neji-kun won't do that again?!" I yell in disbelief and joy.

"Yes!" Guy-sensei smiles his Guy-sensei-style smile. "I told him not to beat you. You're his teammate after all. He doesn't have right to stop you following your dream."

I'm exhausted from training, but jump in happiness.

"Thankkkkk youuuuuu Guy-senseiiiiii!!!"

"It's good to hear that." Lee smiles while panting.

"Now my youthful students, it's time to continue training!!" Guy-sensei stands up.

Already?!

"Yass sir!!" Lee yells

Today we have a D-rank mission: gardening.

As we walk to the employer's house, Neji-kun asks me.

"Aren't you supposed to be in the hospital? Or stay at home? You can't be a ninja anymore."

"Heh, who told you that I can't be a ninja anymore?" I smirk. "My dream is becoming a great ninja. If I die, I'll die as a ninja. I will never stay at home as a 'normal person'. Never in a million years."

Neji-kun is in shock. He probably thinks that I will give up soon, huh. You're wrong! And I'll consistently prove that you're wrong!

Here we go. The house is over there.

First, we pare the weeds in the garden. Being engrossed to the work, I don't realize that Neji-kun is so close. And then our hands touch by accident.

OH MY GAWD I TOUCH NEJI-KUN'S HAND!!!! OH MY... OH MY- My inner self screams as a wave of pleasure arrives.

But I still hiss at Neji-kun.

"What on the earth are you doing?!" I hold my hand back.

"I'm supposed to ask you that question!" He does the same.

Then the fights booms.

"#$%^&*()#$%^&*$%^!!!!" blah blah.

"#$%^???&*$%&^*^*(&^*&^(**!!!" blah blah.

Tenten complains.

"When will they stop arguing...?"

"Dunno." Lee sighs.

"Hey, you shouldn't-"

"It's none of your bussiness!!" Neji-kun and I squall in union.

Having a fight with Neji-kun is funny, to be honest. He always discontinues by "I don't want to talk to you." and scowls. His grumpy face is cute (as long as he doesn't hit me). Those little fights light up the gloomy atmosphere. We laugh hard, except for Neji-kun. I know he is smiling in his mind, though, since the fights are somewhat silly and childish.

Is the relationship between us getting better?
