The classroom next door doesn't have a teacher for a certain period so your teacher decided to take their free period and have a joint class with them. Talk about bad luck.

"Hey new classmates of Class 1!" A puff of navy blue hair peeked right through the door frame. The male who had spoke was none other than, Kaeya. Notoriously known for pulling pranks on teachers and of course, his brother. "Pardon our intrusion~!"

There are only a minimal amount of students in both Class 1 and 2 for some reason. You looked at your seatmate, Lumine who was narrowing her gaze towards the students of Class 2.

"I have a bad feeling about this" she mumbles while writing something on her notebook, "It's a good thing that my brother isn't in that class. Urgh, I'm getting goosebumps just thinking of being classmates with him"

You chuckled at her motion which then later on made a laugh escape Lumine's lips.
Aether is Lumine's twin who is rather famous in terms of basketball yet not so much academically unlike his sister who is skilled in both departments.

A familiar ginger-haired male sat down on the empty seat next to yours. He looked at you with a smirk as he wave his hands as a greeting towards your direction. "Hey Baizhu's sister, long time no see"
You sighed upon looking at Childe, "What are you doing here? I recalled that the school doesn't allow animals on campus"

The male wore a hurt expression as he made a gesture as if he got was surprised of what you said. He faked a gasp and puffed out his cheeks to pout, "That hurts (Y/n). How can someone as gorgeous as me be an animal?!"

Lumine on the other hand, stopped writing notes and looked at you and Childe who are both bickering. She wore an amused expression as she rests her cheek on her palm, "You know... you two are a great match. Opposites attracts like they say, y'know?"

"I am not attracted to him!"
"I am not attracted to her!"

You looked at Childe with wide eyes and a frown, "Stop copying me!"

"Like hell I am copying you!"

A sigh escaped of Lumine's lips.
She averted her gaze and shook her head, "You both are like an old married couple. Anyhow, classes are starting soon and I don't want to hear any complaints nor bickering from the two of you okay..?"

You shifted nervously on your seat upon Lumine's icy glare towards the both of you. Luckily, the teacher broke the tension by starting her lesson. Unfortunately though, it is almost lunchtime and the teacher is currently teaching Science.
Almost all of the students are either dozing off or entirely sleeping unless you're Lumine who's attentively listening to what the teacher is saying.

Your eyes were slowly dropping when you felt a snap on your arm which made your drowsiness go away in an instant. You looked over at Childe's direction where you saw him looking at you with an emotionless look, a single rubber band was over his thumb and index finger which imitates the look of a slingshot and a couple of paper ammo was on the desk.

"Stop that! It hurts!"

Childe shook his head and aimed for your desk.
The paper knocked over your pencil on the ground then upon the impact, it flew upwards which made the teacher call over both of your attentions.

"I didn't said anything about flying paper ammos in my class. With that I'll be handing everyone a pair work project" The teacher then turned around and started writing the project on the whiteboard. Everyone in class groaned and that seemed to have awoken their spirits up.

"Thanks a lot, Childe" you gritted your teeth and glared at the male next to you. He only smirked and shrugged in response which made you even more angry.

"At first glance he's kinda okay but in the longer run, I just want to stay away from him as possible!" You complained at your brother who was laughing all the time while writing prescriptions on the students' files. "Not only did he fired paper ammos at me, but he's also the cause of a pairwork project in Science!"

"And the teacher will be the one who'll be pairing us. Unfortunately Lisa isn't here as well so there is no way I could be partnered up with her.." you sat down on one of the couches and heaved out a sigh.

"Look on the bright side, there's a slim chance that you won't be paired with Childe since it is a merged class after all" Baizhu grinned, "What do you not like about Childe anyway..?"

"Everything. Wait no- not really everything.." you crossed your arms, "Well whatever, I sure hope that I won't get paired with him"

A comforting silence has soon appeared in the infirmary. It was a type of silence that made you lean deeper on the couch and made you rather drowsy. All that you could heard was the ticking of the clock and Baizhu scribbling away on the papers.
Of course, until a certain someone had arrived in the infirmary.

"Have you seen (Y/n)- Oh, there you are!" Childe hastily dropped his backpack on the couch. He abruptly sat next to you which then ended your peaceful time. "The teacher has paired us for the project and here are some experiments that we can do"

"Oh you've got to be kidding me.." you looked at your brother with a pleading look who only grinned at your misery.
