  After the conversation with Hailey,a lot went through my mind. But most of my thoughts were about Ryan,I barely knew him and I was wondering if he liked me or it was just a hobby to draw people...... Hailey said "This is no hobby,there are 22 papers here and your face is on all of em". No rush though...... Apart from being curious about the drawing, I wanted to see the shape he was in and probably hear if he would come out clean about his illness and not lie it's Asthma,I hope he's not in a coma though.

   The plan I drew with Hailey was to go to the hospital Ryan was after school, I'd drop a message for Chase that I'd be coming home late and we are good. Hailey was gonna take me to the hospital since she was familiar with the environment because her aunt worked there.

   Hailey and I left school together but we didn't head for the hospital right away. Hailey said she needed to pick up her cousins at their school and drop them off at the Daycare till she comes back from the hospital.

   " Haileyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!" The little kids screamed as they ran to hug her.

   "Hey Janice.... Hi Janelle,how are you doing today?!" She asked as she carried both of them up.

   "We are good!! Who is she??!" The kids asked looking at me.

   "Ohhh! She's my friend__ her name's Tania. Say hi!" Hailey said.

      "Hiiiiiiii....." Janice and Janelle said with a wide smile on their face.

   "Hello girls! Nice to meet you...... Are you both twins,you really look alike and your heights are the same?!" I asked.

    "No...... Janelle is older.....just a year though,her sister just grew taller and now they are the same height" Hailey said.

   "Ohh,I see!".

  " So we are off to the Daycare,vroom vroom" Hailey said as she played with the kids.

    Watching Hailey and her little cousins,I could sense that closeness between them. They kept smiling and making funny faces,anyone would think they were all siblings. Now I wished for a younger sibling, one I could make a funny face with but that wasn't gonna happen.

   We arrived at the Daycare and it was the same one that Adrian works at,so that means Hailey also knows his workplace. I wonder if he came today.....well,speak of the devil__he was approaching us as we walked into the Daycare center.

   Hailey seemed pretty dumbfounded like she didn't know he works here but she tried to keep her cool,I know she's gonna talk about it when we leave.

   "Hey Girl with the white hair......" Adrian said to Hailey.

   "She has a name and its Hailey not white hair" Hailey corrected him,with her hands in the air like a proud princess😅.

     "Pardon my manners,Hailey....... Hey Girlfriend! I see you came too" He said as he winked at me.

    "Girlfriend??!!" Hailey said with a shocked face.

    "He's just messing around ,don't take him serious" I said with a tensed look.

   "Is he??" Hailey asked and I knew what she meant .

   "Yeah,am I?!! " Adrian asked with his flirty look.

  "Uhm...... The kids.....drop them off,you know we have to be somewhere" I said giving her a look that we had to go.

    "Ohh yes! I'll be back for them in less than two hours...... And here are some snacks for them" Hailey said as she gave Adrian a small bag of cookies,chocolate and vegetable juice.

   "Alright! You need to sign here and here........and we are good to go" Adrian said as he showed her where to sign on a paper.

   "Okay,thanks! Bye cupcakes!"

    "Bye Hailey!!

   " Bye" I said as I waved to the kids and Adrian.

  "OK,did you see that??!!........ Bianca's boyfriend works at a Daycare center,how amusing!" She said with a surprised look on her face.

   I told you she was gonna talk about it! "I thought you bring your cousins here,how come you are just noticing he works here?!"

      "Their mum just changed their After School Daycare few days ago and I didn't see him, probably he just started working here........... Wait,how come you are not bugged one bit about where he works like you know something ,and he called you girlfriend,hmm!"

     "I don't know what you are talking about" I said as I walked fast trying to avoid the question.

   We arrived at the hospital and we were allowed into Ryan's ward as his friends. Luckily for us,he was awake and the nurse was just about leaving his ward. Hailey said hi and waited outside the ward to give us space to talk.

   Ryan was surprised to see me,the look on his face said it all and with all the medical equipments and hose on his body, it showed he was really sick. I felt this sadness in me seeing him in that state but I had to stay strong so he wouldn't break down.

   "Hey Ryan!" I said as I sat beside his bed.

   "Hi Tania" He said as he tried to move but it was a painful turn so I told him to relax.

    "I'm sorry about your health,I just heard today that you were really sick and I decided to come check on you." I said as I struggled with my words,I wonder if I was saying the right thing.

   "I'm glad you came........  You were absent for a while,I thought you changed school already" He said as he talked slowly.

   "I just had issues to take care of,I didn't change school" I said as I managed to smile.

   "What issues were they?!" He said as he started coughing.

     "Nothing serious" I said as I gave him the water by the bedside to drink.

   "I thought I won't see you again.........i..... Waited at the building everyday and....... "

     "And drew this?!" I asked as I brought out the papers from my bagpack.

   "Yeah I drew them,your face is engraved on a a stone in my head" He said as he managed to smile.

    "Wow,I tried to guess who could draw and why but I wasnt certain yet"

    "Well,you know who drew them and why i drew them......there's alot of reasons and I'm still trying to figure it out"

    "Figure it out??!" I asked.

  As we went round in circles with our conversation,I had one question to ask but didn't know how to put it,i guess I'd ask anyway.

   "You don't have Asthma,do you?!" I asked after thinking of how to put it.

   After a long silence........

  "No..... Its cancer and I had complications after surgery,that's why I'm on bed rest, I'm sorry I lied"

   "Its fine..... I totally understand"

   "What do you understand,you said that the last time"

   "Uhm.......its.......just uhm......." I started to stutter and then he took me by the hands and looked deep into my eyes passionately then he asked again but in a different way.

    "Are you a cancer patient too??!"

  After an awkward silence between the walls of the room and myself,I came out clean.

   "Yes,I'm a cancer patient."

  After I said that,we heard a noise at the door,like someone got shocked and dropped something. Was someone eavesdropping? Who could it be?
