Chapter Six

On January 1, 89,985, Ensign Jack Forrester who had seconded to the Zenia was reassigned to Amderesta 1 ASC-1737-J along with his wife Ensign Laura Forrester who was assigned to Amderesta 1's sickbay. He sat at the flight control console of Amderestan Spacefleet Corps Command Shuttle Epsilon 89986 and piloted the shuttle alongside Amderesta 1 ASC-1737-J port side.

"Command Shuttle Epsilon Eight-Niner-Niner-Eight-Six to Amderesta 1 request clearance to dock." Ensign Jack Forrester said into the Video-Audio Communication Screen's audio transciever.

After a momentary pause, Lieutenant Kevin's voice came over the Video-Audio Communication Screen audio reciever. "Command Shuttle Epsilon Eight-Niner-Niner-Eight-Six, you are cleared to dock."

Ensign Jack Forrester activated Command Shuttle Epsilon 89986's manuevering thrusters and proceeded to dock the shuttle to Amderesta 1 ASC-1737-J's port side airlock. The docking clamps engaged and two airlocks opened and pressurized. Ensign Jack Forrester got up from the flight control console and proceeded through the passenger section and entered Amderesta 1 ASC-1737-J via the port airlock corridor access junction. His wife Ensign Laura Lencon carried their son John Forrester who had slept for most of the flight from Taronia to the Amderesta System.

Ensign Jack Forrester and Ensign Laura Forrester proceeded down the midship corridor until they reached the central corridor and proceeded down it towards the bow side of Amderesta 1 and made their way to the Commanding Officer's office located directly outside of Amderesta 1's bridge.

They entered the CO's office and found Colonel Bradley Lencon seated at the desk in the midst of datapads from Amderesta 1's command officers and chief officers. Ensign Jack Forrester and Ensign Laura Forrester both gave a salute to Colonel Bradley Lencon who returned it.

"Ensigns, how old is your son?" Colonel Bradley Lencon asked of Jack and Laura Forrester.

"Well sir, John is going on two years of age." Ensign Laura Forrester responded. Two-year-old John Forrester had started to wake up at this point. "Jack and I have made arrangements for childcare if both of us are deployed."

"Ensign, since John is fairly young, you are exempt from any combat deployment orders." Colonel Bradley Lencon responded.

Meanwhile on Crescent, Prime Minister John Talias stopped his speeder in front of the Amderestan Senate Building which covered a ten sqaure block area of Crescent City's government district and proceeded inside. The first five floors of the twenty story building which contained the legislative chamber while the sixth floor through twentith contained offices for the Senators while they were on Crescent. After several minutes, Prime Minister Talias entered the legislative chamber and waited as the 836 million Senators who represented the Region Districts and Administrative Districts in the Taronia Region, Alazenia Region, Amderesta Region, Tourist Region, Swearia Region, and Parisia Region took their seats on either side of the large room.

Several Cameras positioned throughout the room broadcasted the sessions held by the Amderestan Senate to trillions of Amderestans, Taronians, Swearians, Parisians, Alazenians, and Tourist who lived in the 3rd Amderesta Republic controlled area of the Amderesta Galaxy.

Meanwhile on Amderestan Spacefleet Corps Base Matilda Four, Captain Jonathan Lencon, Lieutenant William Lencon, Ensign Brad Lencon, Lieutenant Commander Treens, Lieutenant Commander Terrans, Lieutenant Commander Galen, Lieutenant Commander Berabs, Ensign William Lencon, Chief Warrant Officer Termans, Warrant Officer Edans, Warrant Officer Tinns, Ensign Gernas, Warrant Officer Herrans, Warrant Officer Leers, Warrant Officer Thomas, and Warrant Officer Evans who had spent a few hours in combat exercises onboard Command Shuttle Alpha-B, Command Shuttle Beta-B and Command Shuttle Delta-B proceeded to the Officer's Club on level fifteen. They entered and sat around a few tables with their datapads.
