The Seventh Player

A girl with blue hair sat under a tree, sucking on a lollipop. She watched as the boys in the basketball court played hard under the blazing sun. Tch. To many openings. The girl thought to herself as she walked away, her weights clanging a little around her ankles and wrists. Lets see how Tetsu is doing. She grinned at the thought and began running home.

Kuroko sat on the porch in front of his house. He ate a blue popsicle with the words winner on the stick. He was waiting for someone. He leaned back and closed his eyes, keeping his thoughts away from the heat.

"Oni- saaaaan!" Kuroko sat up, startled. She was here. The blue-haired female waved at him and grinned. "Did you miss me?! I got released from the hospital today!"

~flashback~
Beeeep! The buzzer to change players rang. A blue haired girl high fives Kise. "Good luck." Kise pants as sweat pours down his face. "They're actually really good." The girl smiles confidently and replies,"I dont need any luck." She wiggles her weights around her ankels and wrists, just to make sure they wouldnt fall off.
The game continues.
Aomine catches the ball and attempts to run and dunk the ball. Three huge players block him. "They're triple-teaming him?! They must be desperate." Spectators talked among themselves. Aomine didnt smile, and thought,"This is nothing." and began to make a run for it.

"Pass me the ball!" The blue haired girl yelled. "Ill dunk it!" Aomine passes the ball muttering,"Just this once, show-off." The opposing team watched in disbelief as the short girl jumped and dunked the ball. "I didnt see her get to the end of the court. How can she jump like that?!When did she get on the court? Was she always there?" Confused murmers drift to the girls ears. She waves the comments away and grin at her team. Her team was the middle school, Teiko, which had the #1 basketball team in Japan. She was the seventh player of the Generation of Miracles.

Kuroko, her twin brother, returns the grin and yells,"You're doing great as always, Katsumi! But you should start taking the ball for yourself. Aomine isnt happy that he passed the ball." Katsumi looks over at Aomine, giggling at his pissed face. She walks over to him and thanks him for the pass. Aomine replies with a threat that makes her smile.

A team member from Teiko had a sparkle in his eyes as her dunking scene replays over and over. He taps Kuroko's shoulder, knowing that the two were twins. " Was that her %100?"
He asks, for it was the first time he had seen her play. Kuroko answers with a straight face," Nope. That was hardly %20." The boy gawks at the percentage and sits back down. "Sugoi!" He whispers to himself. (Sugoi- awsome)

In the other team, the captain grinned at Katsumi's smiling face. "She's pretty strong, isnt she captain? I dont think we can win with her on the team." a player said. The black haired captain tsked and replied,"I dont care if they are geniuses or prodgedies, once you break them, they're just trash." (Wink wink. You know him, right?)

Katsumi scored over and over, making 3-pointers and dunking. She zoomed around the court at a breakneck pace. She was covered in sweat. "I will make all the shots." She thought as she wiped the sweat off her forehead.

"Can we do it now Captain?" A pissed player complained. "They're making unstoppable scores with the girl." he whined. "Now, now my impatient friend." The captain patted the roused player. "Timing is important, isnt it?"
The player grinned at the comment. "Yes sir."

It was the last quarter of the game and the score was 105-87. Teiko was winning. Once the ball was tossed into the air, Katsumi jumped and grabbed the ball. She had slowed down just a tad bit, but the opposing captain noticed. He smiled devilishly and snapped his fingers. A player of the opposing team ran to block the referee's sight. Another sticks out his foot in Katsumi's path. She trips and the ball rolls into the path of another player. He "trips" on the ball and falls on Katsumi. His knee is coming for her face.

A sickening "crack" echos throughout the gym. The player stands up and looks at the fainted female. Blood is flowing from her forehead. Spectators scream in suprise and the player begins to fake cry. "Im so sorry! Sumimasai! Gomenasai!" Tears flow out as blood flow out. Katsumi is rushed to the hospital.

Katsumi woke up in a hospital room and looked around, confused. "Where am I?" she thought. Kuroko rested near her lap. His eyes shot open and hugged his sister. He cried and cried. Katsumi couldnt understand why. He explained that she was in a coma for 3 weeks and that Teiko had won by 20 points. Katsumi asked how long it would be until she would be released. He paused for a long time. "Eto...around a month after summer vacation begins?" Kuroko gives me a weak smile. "WHAT?!" Katsumi shouted, making Kuroko flinch. "Why? Am I not alright? I feel perfectly fi-"
"KATSUMI!" It was Kuroko's turn to yell. "Do you know what a come means, it means that you have had brain damage! At least %50 of your memory has been lost! Im amazed you still remember me!" Kuroko tells me.
Katsumi is shocked at the information she recieved.

~Katsumi's P.O.V- flash back cont.~
"What?! I lost some of my memory? T-thats impossible!" I begin pursuading myself that my brother was lying. But the look on his face is so serious, I begin to get scared. "I'll prove it to you." My brother offers. "Then you can shout at me all you want." I nod and he begins to ask questions. "Who was on the Generation of Miracles?" "Thats easy! It's-" Not a single name enters my head. Instead, I see a teen with his back turned to me. He has dark blue hair. "Its the kid with Dark blue hair." I tell my brother, transfixed at the image in my mind. My brother makes a worried face and tells me,"That should be Aomine." The boy with dark blue hair turns around and I see Aomine's smiling face. "Can you name the others?" My brothers voice breaks through. I see the face of a yellow-haired boy. "Etoo... Kise?" I dont realize that I said his name outloud. Kuroko's worried face leaves and a happy one replaces it. "Yup! Whos next?" I slowly recite the rest of the names of the GOM. As I do so, faces appear, one after the next.

I finish reciting, and realize that my brother is crying. "Whats wrong, Oni-chan? why are you crying?" I ask. He looks up, wiping his eyes. He grins and whispers," Im so glad that your memory came back so quickly."

CLARIFICATION!
-Kuroko is 10 min older than Katsumi. Thats why she keeps saying Oni-san
-Katsumi is 5'5. Average for a girl,but very short for basketball player.(she's taller than Kuroko by one inch.)
- i kept on saying opponent, opposing, and other team cause I forgot the name :(. Plz tell me the name in comments!

Im sorry that the flashback was so long.
Also, the next chapter will start off with normal, 3rd person P.O.V.
