"Mom found out about us. I think you already know what's going to happen next.", I sadly told my boyfriend through our phone call. "Yeah. I know myself what's about to happen..", I can hear his sobs while saying those words. "We need to break up, Ethan. Things will only get worse if we stay together.", I'm crying while saying those words. That's the most painful thing I have ever said to someone.
"Leah, we'll still do our promises, right?", He hopefully said. "Yes! Yes, darling. Of course. I promised to not break my promises, remember?", I said, still sobbing. "Advance Happy Birthday, Leah. I can't come just like what we planned because there's a problem that came up. Just don't forget that, I love you, Leah. I really do. And, I hope we can get back together soon.", he said. "I hope so too. I already broke the promise that I'll fight for you. I'm so sorry, love.", "It's fine. Just.. just don't break anymore of your promises.", he said then the call ended. I cried because of the pain I'm feeling. I know he already hated me. He's mad because, I broke one of the most important promise I said.

"Happy Birthday, Leah!", My brother said. It's my 18th birthday today. I was planning on telling mom about me and Ethan but, she found out sooner than I expected. She already 'forgave' me for having a boyfriend. I mean, what? Is it now a sin to have a boyfriend?? Lmfao.
"Leah!! I missed you, bich! How are you doing?", My bestfriend, Erica, asked me. "I..m doing fine! How about you, mofo?", I faked a smile but, she's my bestfriend. She knows when I fake a smile or if it's genuine. "What's wrong? Where's Ethan? I thought you were going to-", She stopped mid sentence when she realised what was wrong. "Auntie found out, am I right?", she said. "Yes..", "You two broke up.", It is not a question. It's a fact.
"Leah! Come here! Entertain your guests!", My mom said. "Coming! I need to go, Eri.", I told my friend and left. I entertained the guests and helped with my mom. The main event took place and now it's the time for the 18 roses.
I danced with my brother first then, my uncles. I wish my father was here but, he already left us so, there's no point on hoping now. When the last dance is about to begin. I stood there shocked. The emcee said a name that I didn't expect to be there.
"For the 18th rose! Let us all have, Ethan Daniel Rodriguez!!", I saw the man himself walk towards me in his maroon tuxedo holding a piece of red rose. I smiled, I was fighting the urge to cry and run towards him and give him hugs and kisses.
"Happy Birthday, Leah.", the man I love said. "You came.. love! You actually came! I'm so happy that you're here. B-but, How?!", I said while we were there, dancing. "We'll talk about it later. For now, let's enjoy this moment and dance.", he said and then kissed my forehead.
After the dance, I walked towards my seat, Ethan beside me. I stared at him, waiting to tell me the reason on how and why is he here.
"Care to now tell me, Ethan?", I asked. "Haha, chill babe. Okay so, Erica.. apparently told your mother a month ago about our relationship. The thing that she 'found out' about us is fake. It's just an act. Your mother already accepted me as your boyfriend. It's all good now, baby. We can be together again.", He said.
So all thid time it was.. Erica's plan? She was the one behind all of that?
'Thank you, bestfrieeend! Gosh, I love you so. much.', I said to myself.
It was a lively event. All is having fun and everyone is chatting with each other. By the end of the night, it was only my family and of course, Erica and Phoenix. We are now sitting in the dining table, Me, my mom, Ethan, and Erica.
"Soo.. why didn't I know beforehand that you had a plan like this in mind, huh? Erica?", I told my bestfriend, raising a brow. "Gosh, Missy. I helped you and this is the thanks I'll get?! Haa.", She dramatically said.
"Love, let her be. At least, she helped us a lot. I don't know about the act but, it's worth it, right?", said Ethan. "Okay okay, thank you..", "Oh and, about the act.. sorry, Leah. That doesn't mean anything. I just wanted to see your reaction. HAHAHA", oh this little mofo.
"ERICA, YOU SON OF A BI-", "Leah Ann Sanchez! I didn't raise you to just curse at your close friends!", my mom shouted. "I-I'm sorry.."

"I approve your relationship but, I need you two, to promise me that you won't be careless and always prioritise your studies? Understand?", my mom said. "Yes, mommyyy!", I said. "Yes, ma'am. We won't, for sure.", Ethan said.
-Few years later-
"Hon! I made it! I finally graduated college!", I excitedly said to my man. "Yes, yes, honey. You made it! Congratulations, I love youu!", He said then kissed me.
My family and Ethan's are also present in my graduation ceremony. We are eating and talking.
Then, after the dinner, we parted ways. I was talking to Ethan through video call. We were just laughing at how we remembered my college memories.
-5 years later-
5 years after my graduation, we are now a successful Engineer and Doctor. I have my own hospital and he have his own construction company.
We're now just casually telling each other how our days went when suddenly, he asked me if I want to have a simple dinner date with him tonight. I said, "Sure, hon! Of course, I would love to!"
While eating at our usual favourite restaurant. I noticed that, all of the customers are gone except for us. It's just seven in the evening, how come there is no one around us?
I looked at him when he suddenly stood up. "Hm? What's up, honey?", I asked. He asked for my hand and we danced. The lights turned dim and the music played our favourite song.
He suddenly knelt down, pulling a little box out of his pocket. I think I know what's happening.. "Baby? I-Is this what I think it is?", I said, already about to cry. "I guess? Haha, baby.. I know we have been in a lot of difficulties during our relationship. But, we surpassed those times and now, still staying strong as a couple. We've been together for about almost 14 years. It's been a long time. So, now.. I think we need to step our relationship to the next level.", He said, urging the fight to cry. "Leah Ann Sanchez, soon to be Leah Ann Sanchez-Rodriguez, soon to be my wife, the mother of my future kids. Will you marry me?", He emotionally said.
"H-Hon.. YES! YES, OF COURSE I'LL MARRY YOU! I love you, honeeyy!", I said then, hugged him.

"Ethan Daniel Rodriguez, do you take, Leah Ann Sanchez, as your lawful wedded wife?"
"I do, father"
"Leah Ann Sanchez, do you take, Ethan Daniel Rodriguez, as your lawful wedded husband?"
"Yes, father"
"You may now, kiss the bride"
The crowd is cheering, urging Phoenix to kiss me. And, he did.
Now, me and the man I love.. is now officially, husband and wife.
"I love you"
"I love you"
