It'd been a few days. Since then, you hadn't been alone with Katsuki. Almost like Shoto and Izuku knew something was up. You tried not to think about it too much. It'd be fine. Right now, you were alone. A blanket was wrapped around your shoulders as you sat in the corner of the cold concrete room.
It wasn't a very good blanket, but it'd have to do. It was the only thing you'd been given this whole time. Plus, it was useful. Even if it didn't do too well at keeping the cold out. You didn't mind. It was the best you'd get for now so you couldn't complain. You'd probably just get hit if you did, and that wouldn't be fun. Well, fun for you. The sadistic assholes keeping you prisoner would probably enjoy it quite a bit.
Footsteps snapped you out of your thoughts. You didn't recognize them. You crept closer to the door, wanting to hear better. "I'm here, just like you asked." A voice said. You didn't recognize it. "I'm glad you are! We have things to talk about." The second voice was Izuku. You could tell that much with ease.
"Yeah, I know. Look, I've got a busy schedule so if we could try to keep this quick that'd be great." The first voice said, seeming annoyed. Izuku whined softly. "But I've barely gotten to talk to you at all since-" He was cut off. The person seemed like they were either really strict on time, or just didn't want to put up with Izuku. "Since you were assigned this.. project. I know. Look, Izuku I have work to do." They interrupted.
You were curious about what was going on here. "Mhm! I'm fully aware. But jeez, you can't spend time with your own little brother?" Izuku complained. You felt yourself pale a little bit. Brother? "We can later. Just get to the point." The person said, sighing softly. You leaned against the wall beside the door. "Is it ready yet?" Izuku asked. Was what ready yet? You were confused. "Just about. I only need a few more days. It'd go by faster if I had your help, you know." They answered.
Dread hung over you. You knew that whatever they were talking about wasn't good. "I would if I could. You know that! But the boss entrusted me with this project, so I've gotta see it through." Izuku said, sounding ever-so-slightly sad. The other person was silent for a second. "I know. Just.. stop by if you get some free time, okay?" They asked. You were still trying to figure out what they were talking about.
"I will, promise!" Izuku exclaimed. He seemed excited. "Alright. I'll see you later, Izuku." The person said, starting to walk away. You did your best to make out the rest of the conversation. "Bye-bye, Tomura!" Izuku called. His sweet tone made you feel sick. It was silent for a little bit. "I have to tell Shoto about this.. it's almost time." He said, his tone a little psychotic. His footsteps retreated down the hall and he was gone.
What had you just heard? Was this what you'd been having a bad feeling about all along? You didn't know. Who was Tomura? What role did they play in all of this? You couldn't answer any of your questions, no matter how hard you tried. The puzzle pieces just didn't seem to fit. An hour or so passed as you sat there thinking.
You heard Katsuki's footsteps coming down the hall. You moved away from the door, going back to your corner. It wasn't long until Katsuki opened the door. He closed the door behind himself, glancing at each of the cameras. "What's got you worked up?" You asked. Katsuki didn't get like this. Not this quick, anyways.
"Look, I have a plan, but you need to trust me." Katsuki said, looking you dead in the eyes. You were taken aback. "What are you talking about?" You looked up at him, concerned and confused. He sighed. "I have a plan to get us out of here, but it's going to take a bit and you have to trust me." He explained, seeming annoyed that he had to say it. You got up, your blanket dropping to the floor.
"This better not be a trick." You said, walking over to Katsuki. He looked at you like you were stupid for a second. "Just come on. Shoto and Izuku are busy, but we can't leave right away. We've gotta hide for a while before we can." He replied, taking your hand and opening the door. You weren't too sure about this, but it was probably one of the only chances you'd get.
Katsuki led you into the hall after carefully looking to make sure no one was there. He closed the door behind the two of you and made his way through the maze of hallways. He stopped after a little bit. "We can hide in here for a while until the alarm system shuts off. Then we're good to go." He opened the door to what looked like a glorified broom closet. The room wasn't huge, but it was big enough to fit the two of you comfortably.
Hesitantly, you went inside. Katsuki followed, turning the light on. The room was maybe the size of a bathroom, and it was completely empty. "The alarm system is going to shut off in an hour or so for maintenance. That's our cue to get out of here." Katsuki explained, looking down at you. You nodded. "How'd you figure out about this?" You asked, tilting your head to the side a little.
Katsuki smirked. "Asked one of the people from the other part of the organization. I knew it was going to be happening soon, I just needed the specific time so we could escape." It seemed like Katsuki'd been trying to do something like this for a long time. You wondered just how long he had.
The two of you sat in silence for a bit as your anxiety started to settle in. "W-What about Izuku and Shoto? What if they find us before we escape?" You asked nervously. Katsuki didn't seem to be worried at all. "They're busy. Those two sadistic dumbasses won't be a problem. I made sure of it." He replied, his arms crossed over his chest in a boastful way.
"Dumbasses? That hurts my feelings."
