I was back at my mother's residence after practically being kicked out of the hotel two days ago since Xavier hadn't paid for the room for a week long. I didn't have the money for that outstanding balance and my mother's house is the only place I could go.I refused to stay with Jade after learning what she was dealing with pertaining to her own husband, Joie's place was full, and Andi's condo wouldn't fit my rowdy pack and she had her own men problems to handle.
Plus I didn't want to burden them with my issues.
I breastfed Chloe, sitting in the dimmed den, watching reruns of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta and beyond irritated after the phone call I had with Susie. I was waiting on my mother to return with Zay and Calen, so I could vent to someone. Luckily I overheard the front door opening followed by Calen's feet racing down the hall.
Chloe unlatched from my right breast and I started to burp her just as Calen found me. "Mommy, hellooo!"
"You don't have to yell, baby." I said, patting her back slightly firm.
Calen climbed on the couch beside me. "I miss you and sissy." he rested his head on my shoulder, "Her sleeping?"
"Yeah, she just ate." I told him, as Zay came in. "How was school?"
"Good." Zay responded as he bent over kissing me and Chloe on the forehead before he sat beside me. "I still haven't chose a college yet."
"You'll figure it out. Don't be tryna rush to leave me."
Zay snickered. "It was to be expected, Momma." he grabbed Chloe from me, kissing her cheeks softly.
"She still needs to burp."
Zay laid her on his chest. "I know. I got you."
I stand, pulling up the waist of my leggings. "I'm going to talk to Meemo."
I left the den and joined my mother in the backyard where she was watering her vegetable garden.
"I spoke with Susie." I said as soon as I stepped onto the patio.
She turned around to me. "What did she say?"
