*Fast Forward 6 months*

Arya was leaning against the balcony of her house, she was on vacation. College now seemed distant, the stress that came with it did so too. Vacations always excited her, always filled her with happiness but this time it was different. She was still not at peace, on the day everybody would be leaving for home she was dumped. Without any reason, without a pretext, she was left alone. By Samir. She still failed to see where she had gone wrong, she had always been the forgiving one. She had always apologised first, even if it weren't her fault. She slowly started recounting the time spent with Samir.

"Will you go out on a date with me?"

She had fidgeted for a moment before squeaking a yes out. It had felt like a dream, straight out of a fairytale book. Alas! It was too good to be true.

The first few weeks with Samir were magical, unbelievably sweet. It felt perfect, he felt perfect, they felt perfect! But then one day she was walking on campus, was just about to turn a corner when she heard an all too familiar voice.

"I don't know why I am with her anymore."

"Then why are you still going on?"

"I don't know, I don't. It's like everytime I see her face now, I want to snap my head in a different direction."

"What did you see in her? She has got nothing special! There are a hundred other girls waiting to go out with you, aur tum uske pallu mein muh chupaye baithe ho!"

She had turned to catch a glimpse of the people saying it, they were Arjun and his bestfriend Kartik. From that day she had dreaded the arrival of the moment when he would break up with her. And indeed, it came.  And like a fool she had nodded and just left the campus without reprimanding him.

Fool, fool,fool!

Arya slowly wiped her tears away, and answered the incoming call of her friend Aarti.

"Hey."

"Did you see?"

"See what?"

"Umm, Samir he is going out with Shanaya."

"Oh, good for him! I'm happy for him."

"Bullshit! How can the bastard move on so quickly?"

"Can we not?"

"Not what? You know why these older men go out with younger girls? Because they are easy to trap, easy to groom, easy to manipulate. One compliment, one cheesy line girls like you melt away and start doing what they are told to. You turn into their little dolls!"

"Stop Please, Aru."

" You were being stupid Arya, so stupid! You were his practice girl, before he went on to catch the big fish in the pond. You need to hear these things so that you don't make the same mistake again."
