The whole story

It's the last day of school and they are wearing matching outfits for taking pictures at the fairy tree, its tradition. Wearing black crop tops with love is love rainbow signs on them they have on ripped jeans with oversized white hoodies. They have their hair in pigtail french braids with their curtain bangs out. Ella has on huge eyeliner wings but Olivia is only having small wings Ella has rainbow eyeshadow under her wings and Olivia has on plain nude eyeshadow. Joy wasn't allowed to buy anything so she has on a black shirt with a rainbow on it and jeans. Her makeup is rainbow eyeshadow with no eyeliner because she is not allowed to wear it but when she gets to school the girls put some on her. She has her hair in two pigtails.
They have plans to take pictures at the fairy tree. They brought more lights to put on the fairy tree to complement all the pretty colorful leaves and flowers, that afternoon they could take great pictures, this would be the third year in the row that they did this, and next year they would be without Olivia.
Ella and Olivia are waiting for the bell to ring. They have plans to meet at door number 1 and run the halls because it is the last time Olivia will be at school. There, counting the seconds till summer in their class room and 3 2 1 "ding ding ding" the bells rings. They run to door number one and find Joy, Ella's best friend. They start running through the halls screaming at the top of their lungs not caring what anyone thinks, remembering all the joyful times, all the spots they would hang out in like the fairy tree they decorated together. Ella stops and sits.
"I will miss hanging out here," Ella said.
"Same but you two will get another year here and I won't," Olivia states.
"It just won't be the same," Ella explains.
"Do you guys remember when we decorated this hanging up these pictures hanging the lights and convincing principle honey to let us paint the wall baby blue and let us put in couches,"Joy says.
"Yea that was the best," Olivia and Ella say simultaneously.
They all burst into tears knowing this is the last time they will all sit here together
Then they walk out through door 10, saying goodbye. This will be the last time they will be there for 5 months because their school is 5 months in 5 months out.
That was the last time they would all be together happy and friends.
That Night Ella got an anonymous text saying "I have proof that Olivia is cheating on you"
Ella texted back saying " show me"
They send the proof.
Ella doesn't text back, she is too worrisome.
Thoughts run through Ellas head, How long has this been going on, why would she, whas this real. Ella couldn't hold back tears she was so worried, sad and overflowing with thoughts.
Ella is holding back thoughts, the hatred, the anger, the confusion, the sadness, pretending like nothing happened because she doesnt want it to be true. She doesn't want the relationship to change but it already has in her mind but still she tells no one, and things are just not the same.
Ella starts to hang out with Olivia less and less at this point; They normally hang out every waking moment they can, but Since Ella found out Olivia is cheating they have only been hanging out once a week sometimes less, Ella is ignoring Olivia, not answering her text, and never making plans and Ella is just blaming it on her job but really she gets two days off and not only one.
Ella has been working at Sno Cone, To Get Away where every kid in morro comes and is the only place the tourists are not overflowing because it is on the north side of town away from the tourist beach. She doesn't have to do much because she always takes the afternoon shift because she doesn't want to close or open but she does get the noon rush which isn't too bad. She has worked more than normal, 5 shifts a week instead of 4. This is all to get a car though to see Olivia when she is away at college, even though she has no idea if they're going to stay together because of the fact Olivia is cheating.
She finally has enough money after 1 hard month and 1 easy month of work, to get a car so that she can drive back and forth to Olivia's college, but She isn't going to get a car just yet because she has decided to wait to get a car, so she can get her dream first car, a pastel green convertible volkswagen beetle. She has decided no to tell Olivia about the car situation, because Ella has not been staying in touch well, because she is scared something will come up and she will say the wrong thing, because she doesn't want to tell Olivia that she knows about her cheating.
For two weeks Ella has not said a word to Olivia and has just left her million of messages unanswered because so much is going through her head, she can't begin to think about what she is putting Olivia through. With all of her time Ella has enough money to get her dream car, and go on a weekend trip and she decides its best to take Olivia because of how rude she has been and it would be nice to hang out because her feelings have not gone away. She just has some new ones. She gets her dream car and plans the trip, she decides to go to Gatlinburg Tennessee as a surprise for Olivia, because she was already planning on taking a trip this summer with Olivia in her new car before things went south so she is planning on still taking her because they have always wanted to go on a trip together.
The car ride is 35 hours long,they will take turns driving, they leave on Wednesday morning at 4:00 am and sleep at a hotel when they get tired because of how long the trip is. They can't just go all the way through. In the car they sing songs, watch movies when it is not there, turn to drive, listen to podcasts, do puzzles and talk in general, and about what is going to happen when Olivia goes to college. Ella feels so awkward during the trip because she has recently found out that Olivia cheated on her. They arrive on friday afternoon.
The first day, Friday, they get there and are so hungry they find this restaurant called Richards last resort, where the service is meant to be trashy, and they treat you poorly and put hats on you that call you mean things, i wouldn't recommend if you get offended easily and they have a great time, then they go to ripleys believe it or not, a museum that has a lot of cool interesting history, also has fun activities. Saturday they go go karting, you come in second place to Olivia, she brags the whole way to the hotel. Sunday comes and they go get pictures at this beautiful park, and they go to a resort called the island and go on a ropes course that they zipline on and bungee jump off of. Mondays was the last day there. They went on a sky cart up the mountain then went across the sky bridge, the longest people suspension bridge in the us. The trip is fun but they are distant the whole time.
Ella decides that the relationship is useless now and she breaks up with Olivia. She plans a dinner with Olivia.
"Hi, I need to talk to you about something, but let's get food first" Said Ella.
"Yea, I'm starving," Said Olivia.
*They order drinks*
"So how has your day been?" Said Ella
"It has been okay but i had some really rude tourists that came to the store and i was trying to help but it was like everything i said they had some rude comment for that they would mumble under their breath," said Olivia.
" That must suck, that's why I chose to work up north where there are not a lot of tourists, but I make less money which sucks but at least the people are polite," said Ella.
" i tried to get a job up north but there wasn't a place that would just take me for 2 months and pay well," said Olivia.
" yea, I know," said Ella
*the waiter comes and takes their order*
"So how has it been at home, especially since your dad moved out?" said Ella.
" It's been really hard on my mom but i'm okay it doesn't really affect me because he was never really home anyways, and when he was home he was asleep, so i'm just trying to help my mom, " said Olivia.
" I understand the dad thing, but I love you mom and to hear she is going through a rough time it breaks my heart," said Ella.
*they talk about olivia's mom and what she is dealing with, then there food comes out*
"So what was it you really wanted to talk about?" said olivia
" Now that I know how hard it has been I don't want to put more on your plate but I should tell you only if you're up for it though," said Ella.
"Nothing can be worse than watching my mom fall apart so hit me," said olivia.
" I have been feeling really disconnected, explicitly because we havent seen eachother in ages." said ella.
"Same," said ella.
" My feelings have just gone away really and i think we should break up," Said Ella.
"I don't want to, but if that's how you really feel," Said Olivia.
"Thank you for understanding," Said Ella
" Always" Olivia states.
*they finish dinner as friends*
Ella is spending all her time with Joy and she is happy as can be. Two weeks later Joy kisses Ella and they spend a week apart. Ells decides she wants to be with joy and they become a couple.
Joy jets a notification when driving and lest Ella open it. Ella sees a text to her number and it is the conversation she had with the "anonymous" person. She is a person to keep to herself and just like the chat in the first place she keeps it a secret but when joy is sleeping she takes photos of the chat from her phone. Ella just does the same thing she did with Olivia slowly distance herself and then breaks up because she doesn't want to confess that she went through Joy's Phone. She takes 6 weeks to distance herself then she breaks up with her and makes up her mind about telling Joy or not..
"I know what you did," Ella said.
"What are you talking about?" Joy said.
"You broke me Olivia apart and said that she was cheating on me."
"No I didn't."
"Yes you did, I have proof."
"Then show me."
Ella shows Joy the proof then runs to her car and thens proceeds to drive to Olivia's house. Olivia isn't home, what is she supposed to do she just can't wait for her. She runs to the door and Olivia's mom, Jade answers. Wearing her favorite apron, the heart one because she was making brownies.
"Ella, I haven't seen you in almost over 2 months," Jade said.
"I know there are reasons behind that, childish reasons." Ella said.
"What happened."
"I broke up with olivia, and didn"t even tell her why and i feel so bad for it but the real reason was all because of a anonymous text message i got saying that olivia had cheated with proof, that was fake but i didn't know that until i found out it was Joy, and the only reason i know that is because she got a text message and she let me read it and i saw the conversation about her cheating in her phone and she made it up so me and Olivia would break up."
"That isn't right she should have never have done that, you need to talk to Olivia as soon as possible because she can't go to college with the thoughts in her mind that you guys broke up for no reason, she is at work, you know where she works right."
"Yea the monster ice cream right?"
"Yea."
She closes the door and jumps into her car. She sits in the driveway for ten thinking about what she is going to say to Olivia and then she drives off contemplating about what she will respond to. Ella gets to the ice cream shop after the 15 minutes drive and parks out of sight contemplating whether or not to go in. After 20 minutes Ella has worked up the courage to go in. She walks up, sees Olivia then runs back to the car. She has now spent over an hour in the parking lot and the sun is beginning to set then Olivia walks out still in her work clothes, a black Shirt with a monster ice cream logo and dark Skinny ripped jeans. Olivia walks towards Ella to go home and then spots her. She turns and walks the other way. Ella gets out of the car and runs to Olivia stopping her.
" Wait, I need to talk to you," Said Ella.
" I don't want to talk with you," said Olivia.
" Please I need to explain myself."
" Fine but it's cold so let's go to your car."
" Okay, come on."
Ella and Olivia hop in the car to warm up.
"I'm so so sorry I would have never broken up with you if I would have never believed the text I got," Said Ella.
" What text you said you just felt us growing apart," said Olivia.
" I got a text saying you cheated and believed it but then when i was dating Joy i saw the text messages on joys phone and found out it was all a scam so she could date me," Said Ella.
" Why would she do that, is she crazy? " Said Olivia.
"I don't know but she had proof but she just got one of her friends to make it with her."
"Well I forgive you but I wish you would have told me the truth at first because all of this nonsense would have been resolved sooner."
" Yea but i was just so up in my thoughts and didn't want it to be true so i lied."
" Now you know that it was fake and it is all over but I have something I need to tell you."
" what is it?"
"Do you remember my co-worker shayla?"
"Yea, why."
"Well we started dating but i didn't even like her and just wanted to brag in front of you."
" I guess that's fair, i mean i did date joy but i wanted you back the whole time."
" well i want you back too but i need to break up with shalya first but i don't want to hurt her feelings."
"Just tell her the truth."
" okay."
Ella starts the car, and They head back to Olivia's house. Ella and Olivia head inside and talk about whether or not they want to get back together. Before they know it is 8:40 and Ella has to get home before 9 so she won't get in trouble because she wasn't supposed to take that long and it's a 30 minute drive. Ella gets all her stuff and then heads home. Ella gets home at 9:20 and explains that she didn't mean to stay that long, she heads up to her room. She gets ready for Bed, Takes a shower, washing her face and hair, then she brushes her teeth, she heads to her room and puts on her blue pajamas. When Ella gets into bed then she gets a text from Joy saying she is so sorry and asks if she can forgive her. Ella doesn't respond and just goes to bed.
The next morning Ella wakes up with a smile on her face because Olivia said she would take her back and she still loves her and is not mad about what Ella did, by shutting her out, but then she remembers she is grounded she got home late because and her parents took her keys so she can't go anywhere for a week, and they took her phone to work with them so she can't get it back.
Olivia is dreading having to break up with Shayla but she has to for reasons she can't explain in words, the feelings her heart has, the longing for Ella. It is not that she doesn't want to break up with her, it is how. She doesn't want to go up to Shayla and just say sorry there was a mix up, My ex wants me back so i'm breaking up with you. However in this situation she has no other options, I mean she could say things are just not working out the way i planned, i think we need to break up. She is such an honest person she just doesn't want to lie, but she doesn't want to say what really happened. Olivia can not figure out what she is going to do so she texts Ella.
Ella i"m freaking out! texts Olivia.
Ella, I need your help!

ANSWER ME PLS
I need your help. I don't know how i'm going to do this, call me when you have the chance.
Ella is not answering her phone for advice, and this is a time where Olivia really needs it.
Ella is wondering what is going on with Olivia and just hopes she comes over. She has no idea what to do especially because she can not leave the house. She makes breakfast and works out then takes a shower. Olivia has not come over yet. Ella is doubting that Olivia will come over but is hoping she will.
Olivia is wandering around her house not knowing what to do. She doesn't have anyone to talk to and Ella isn't picking up her phone. She is thinking about heading over to Ella's but then she remembers she has work and needs to get ready. She jumps in the shower for 5 minutes. Olivia throws some pants and her work shirt on then quickly tosses her hair in a ponytail. She grabs some breakfast and runs out the door because she wasn't paying attention to time and has to be at work at 8:15 and it's 7:55.
Ella decides that Olivia is not going to come and decides to take a nap. One hour later she hears the cat, bell meowing, which means she wants water or to play. So Ella decides to get up and give her water, but she has water so that means she wants to play. So she grabs her toy bin and pulls out Bell's favorite toy fish. She plays with her for a while and then goes back upstairs to read, and wait for her mom to come home.
Olivia gets off of work and decides she is going to see Ella. When Olivia gets there she is greeted by Ella's mom, Margret.
Margret, "Hi Olivia, Ella is grounded right now but you could probably come in for 30 minutes."
Olivia, " Oh! I didn't know that, I have been texting her all day wondering why she wouldn't respond."
Margret, " Sorry, I was about to make dinner, would you like to stay and eat?"
Olivia, " I would love to, thank you."
Margret, "sounds great come on in."
Olivia heads up the stairs to Ella's room. Ella is surprised because she thought that Olivia wasn't going to come at all.
Ella, "I thought you were never going to come, I was waiting for you all day."
Olivia, " sorry i had work, i was late too because i lost track of time."
Ella, "oh, that makes sense, i didn't mean to be rude."
Olivia, " You're okay, I tried texting you but you wouldn't answer but now i know why."
Ella, " sorry i got grounded for coming home late."
Olivia, " I'm so sorry for making you late. I didn't mean to, we just lost track of time. I really came over though because I need help breaking up with Shayla, because I don't know how."
Ella, " Well to be honest you are just going to have to be brave and hope for the best."
Olivia, " It's so hard though because I don't want to just say sorry I need to break up with you my ex wants me back."
Ella," well you could just say sorry this isn't working out i don't want to be with you as much as i thought i wanted to."
Margret, shouts up the stairs, "Dinner!"
Olivia," madye."
Ella, " okay we can talk later, but for now let's go eat."
Olivia," yea, i'm hungry."
They washed their hands, then headed downstairs to eat. Margaret had mad lasagna which is one of Olivia's favorite dinners that she makes. They sit down to eat.
Margret, "so girls how were your days."
Olivia, "Mine was okay, work felt so long though because I wanted to come over here to talk to Ella."
Ella," it was long but okay i ate, took a shower, played with the cat, napped and took a walk."
Margret," sounds like it was really long."
Ella and Olivia at the same time, " it was like a whole week, it felt so long."
Margret, " I bet it did."
They finish their dinner in silence then head back upstairs to talk.
Ella," so what do you want to do?"
Olivia,"I don't know, probably just talk some more."
Ella,"okay, what were we talking about before dinner?"
Olivia," you were giving me advice on how to break up with shayla."
Tears start to run down Olivia's face.
Ella, "hey it's okay, you don't have to break up with her if you don't want to, i don't mind."
Olivia, "that's the thing i want to i just don't want to hurt her, i love her so much but i love you more."
Ella, " I can always wait, you need to do what you want and don't decide on everything because of what i say."
Olivia,"I know, and I won't."
Ella,'' Okay, let's make a pros and cons list, that always helps, after, depending on what you decide we can write down some tips too."
Olivia," okay i think that's a good idea."
After thinking for a while and talking about what to write down they complete the list.
Pros of breaking up : I get to be with Ella, I will know I'm with who I love, endless nights, fun trips, years of fun, staying with my soulmate.
Cons of breaking up: i am not with my love on, i break shayla's heart.
Olivia," let's be honest there are more pros than cons and you are who i want to be with deep down, can we make that list of tips now."
Ella," sure."
Ella thinks for a bit and writes down all the tips she knows then gives to olivia.
Tips for breaking up:
stay calm and be honest
Don't be scared they will understand
Be truth full, if you can't be try to be as much as possible
Don't be afraid to cry it's okay
Don't come out as enemies stay friends, it is better in the long run
Olivia thanks Ella for everything then heads home.
*8 years later*
Olivia and Ella are married and are adopting the perfect little girl. They got their dream house on the farm and they have made lots of new friends. Olivia writes books and Ella is an architect and makes projects out of recycled materials. They both together hold a lgbtq group for youth who have unsupportive parents.
