I watched intently as the Ionian man blended into the sea of people and disappeared from my sight. There were so many people, all roaring with excitement; it was deafening to my ears. I looked at the podium one last time, admiring the care and detail that was given to it. My gaze came upon two huge men on the balcony, one with what seemed red hair and excessive purple fur over his shoulders and... ears on top of his head? A vastaya? Huh. My gaze moved on to the man to his right, but there was not much to see from this distance. I could barely make out any distinguishable features besides his very pale skin; he was blending in with the shadows behind him. I felt as Kaija churned within me as I observed said second man.

"What is it, Kaija? Is something wrong?" I turned around, facing into the hallway I came through.

"It's alright Tazzlyn. I was confused for a second. I'm still gathering my energy." It seemed like Kaija was avoiding the question, but I wasn't going to dig deeper.

"Well..." I faced the arena once again, looking for what way I was supposed to go now. There were many rows for the crowd to sit in, but I couldn't make out where the inner corridors were. "Guess I just walk around until I figure it out." And that's exactly what I did. I paced around the last rows of the crowd, looking for where I had to go. It was then that I noticed something very peculiar. Although this was clearly a Noxian town, there was a great deal of Ionian men too, like the guy that had brought me here. I found it quite peculiar, since back home, this wasn't always the case. "Huh..." It escaped my lips and I didn't even realize. I stopped on my tracks when I caught glimpse of a Noxian soldier sitting next to a Navori merchant, both exchanging words about the upcoming fights quite enthusiastically. The Noxian soldier seemed to catch wind of my presence behind them and scowled at me.

"Whatcha lookin' at girl? Fuck off."

For once, I thought twice about my next actions. I was new here, I did not need any more trouble. My hand involuntarily brushed on the tilt of my seax but I quickly put it on the side of my hip. "Nothing," I smiled sarcastically and kept walking away. The crowd suddenly roared in a thundering cheer and I flinched in pain. I covered my ears and recoiled to the wall behind me. My head was spinning in pain for a few seconds and it caused me mild vertigo.
"Fuck, fuck..." I whispered to myself as I squinted my eyes closed and supported myself on the wall behind me. Even with my eyes closed, I felt how everything was spinning under my feet. I had no other choice than to wear my earplugs. They drowned most of the uncomfortable noise out and gave me the hearing capabilities of a normal human. I searched my pouch frantically for the plugs until I found them and put them on. The noise was brought down and I was able to take my hands away from my ears. I sighed in relief and tried to figure out why the crowd was roaring.

It seemed like the shout caster of the arena had walked out into the fighting grounds, and he was doing his job quite exceptionally. "Good evenin' folks! Tonight we have a new fighter, and a girl at that!" The crowd erupts again and I can hear the occasional whistles scattered around the crowd. "Everyone, welcome Tazzlyn to our pits!"

I realize that its my cue and I'm still all the way up here. I rushed my way amongst the crowd, making sure that I don't trip and eat my teeth  on my way down.

"Where is she?" The shout caster yells.

"I'm here!" I reply back as I rush down and make it to the edge of the pit. I had no idea where the actual entrance to the fighting ground was, so I leapt forward with great force and landed inside. I join the caster shortly after and yet again, the crowd cheers me on. It was such a weird sensation.
