Just like a breath,
You were swept away with the wind
And carried beyond my reach

I had lost sight of you so quickly,
You were simply a fleeting moment
In my tiresome and futile existence

I fought so hard, for what seemed like Forever,
Trying to find a love like the ones I read in novels.

Which I had spent hours upon hours
Dissecting
Hoping to find the key to loving another

Yet even after all those days I had spent Locked away reading book after book

I only ever discovered one thing,
That key to loving another is simply
Living in ukiyo

To live in the moment,
Detached from the bothers of life

My heart filled with jubilation every time
You held my hand

Every time,
You kissed and hugged me

Every time,
You decided to still love me
Even after all the pain I caused you

But once you were gone,
I felt nothing but ambivalence
As if I was deprived of all my happiness

Yet I knew,
From the second I laid eyes on you
We could never be

Two worlds like our own
Were never meant to cross

Even so,
Time and time again
It seemed as though
Fate wanted and needed us together

Like some invisible force,
Knew we would help change one another
Even if it wasn't in a good way

In the end,
We were pushed apart once more
Forever lost in the remnants of time

Meeting our final stage,
Whatever we once had,
Become simply another fleeting moment
