A/N. Holy mother of god this has 2K reads. I've gone AWOL for about two months and I needed a filler to get you guys something. Consider it as a trailer for the drama that unfolds in the following chapters. Very short chapter, indeed. Thank you for 2K reads! It means the world to me!
Chapter 7 Broken Hearts
Witness POV
"Marco, I can't do this anymore!"
"You'll get through it, I promise." Marco breathed deeply. He let the soothing sensation run through his body. Nothing could be more nerve wracking than this. He had a life long friend who with him, did everything they could as kids. Marco supported Sandra with his whole being, and Sandra did so too.
But having two dead parents, on one sad night, in Dortmund just wasn't making Sandra's day pleasant.
"Marco, mom was on the phone. A-a..and she sounded happy while pa was driving." Sandra stuttered. She could barely hold her own words due to the untimely event.
"Marco." She began. "Then it just went blank. The line went dead. I was sure as hell my phone was still working." Sandra sobbed, multiple times.
"I'm sorry you had to go through this." Marco repeated for the nth time that night. "No one should go through this. It's too painful to..to know...." Marco trails off, as if not knowing what to say.
"But it's just not fair!" Sandra shouts. Her voice became from a sad mellow, to a high pitched shriek. "The drunk driver got to live! My parents were dead on the spot! Who decides all of this huh?" She pokes a finger at Marco.
"I don't know. I genuinely don't know."
Sandra just bawls her fists. She knows that she will lose control soon. And she doesn't want to do it in front of Marco. Sandra leaves the tight and warm embrace Marco trapped him in. Slowly walking outside the house.
Marco knew what she was planning.
"Sandra no!"
He was too late.
