Prologue

It was an exhausting day, I'm working on my office and nag-accept ng mga hahawakan na kaso. I was also reviewing the case of my one client, we're going na sa court tommorrow. Whoo, This week will be so tiring, this is a attempted murder case. 

I leaned on my chair and exhale a large deep breath. This is a super tiring day, files and papers all over my desk. But I smiled when I saw my personalized name carved on a glass plane, it has "Attorney Alcantaron". I smiled more when I remembered my inspiration on pursuing this. Siya ang nagmotivate sa akin at nag-push na ituloy ang pinakang-pinapangarap ko. Pero binawi ko din ang ngiti ko ng may naalala.

"Attorney Alcantaron?" Linni called me from the other desk.

"Yes, Linni?" I answered her. She's my bestfriend since elementary until now.

"Baka gusto mag-coffee chill muna? Pahinga muna tayo sissy. Hindi ka ba napapagod?" I agree to Linni, chill muna after so many works.

"Uhm, Yeah sure tara," Gusto ko na magpahinga at matulog na pagkatapos namin mag-coffee.

Tumayo na si Linni at kinuha ang purse bag niya sa gilid ng table niya at ganoon din ako. Naglakad kami papuntang elevator. The elevator stopped at the parking floor and pumunta na kami sa car ko, hindi siya nagcar today sumabay lang siya sa akin. We fastened our seatbelts and I started to drive.

Sobrang dami na ng nagbago sa place na 'to, dito ako nagpatayo ng law firm sa Marinduque and this is sa bayan kaya medyo exact na rin para sa firm. This is my plans since I was in high school and this is a dream come true, God made me this successful.

"Hoy babae alam mo ba na nakauwi na si Jeoff dito sa PH? actually andito siya sa Marinduque," I was shooked on what she said.

My eyes widened and I'm shocked pero hindi ko pinahalata sa kaniya 'yon. I just pretended na wala akong pake kahit na medyo interested ako. Itong babaeng .to talaga kahit kailan walang ambag sa buhay ko.

"Hoy babae ka din, I don't even care na diyan sa pinagssasabi mo,"

"He bought a lot daw sa may tabi ng house mo, sa kaniya pala yon? Yung pianagawa na bahay doon? Woah, I didn't know that." Now, I'm super shooked na sa sinabi niya.

What?! In just beside my house?! Sa kaniya pala yung pianagawa don! Bat hindi ako nainform. Gulat na gulat ako sa mga information na binibigay niya pero still mukha pa din akong walang pakealam. Now, how I'm going to sync-in that information? Why sa gilid pa ng house ko. Whoo.

"Ahuh? And then what?" I tried to sound like I don't care, like I'm not interested at all.

"'Yon lang! Bakit? May gusto ka pa bang malaman Ha? Ha? Ha?" She's teasing me na! Sabi ko na eh.

"Get away from me you babae, nagda-drive ako can't you see ha?" I tried to get  out from that topic. She just  rolled her eyes and mouthed "whew".

I parked at the front of the coffee shop at bumaba na kami ni Linni. She was stiffling a laugh while looking at  me but tatarayan ko lang siya. Hindi na talaga mababawasan ang kulit nito jusko. I walked to the door with my heels tapping on the tiles of the shop and pudhed the door and quickly push it again para matamaan si Linni. Hsk, subukan mo pang mangasar.

"Aray ko! Napaka mo talagang babae ka," She more like whispered itt kasi nakakahiya sa mga tao sa loob.

We walked to the counter, I ordered Macha Tea and Linni ordered Double Chocolate Frappe. We paid it and i gave my membership card. She asked for our names para ilagay sa cup.

"Cheriè, the 'e' has an aphostrophe on top huh." I said to the counter girl and she nodded. Linni said Linni ofcourse.

While I'm waiting nag-scroll ako sa Instagram and naisipan ko istalk si Jeoff, I didn't do this after so many years. I searched and found his name.

Woah, that was different from before. I scrolled and saw the picture na suguro nakita ni Linni, nag-picture si Jeoff sa tapat ng bahay niya and captioned. 'I'm back'. He's different from before, ang daming nabago sakaniya from postures to looks to attitude on socmed. I did not scrolled more dahil baka may makakita lang na ini-stalk ko siya.

"One Macha Tea for Cherié!"" The counter girl shouted so I went to the counter.

I was about to get my cup when someone took it first and my palm is on his. I looked slowly at the person and I was shocked. I was right, it was him. It was him! Oh my fraking god! He's in front on me!

"Oh? Long time no see." Then he smiled.
