A bonding night

Yachis Pov:

I layed down, my back towards Aimi, scared that I would fall asleep. But I did and in the moment I realized I fell asleep I tried and tried and tried to wake up but I couldn't, I couldn't do anything but let my body rest and my mind dream the dream I had over and over again since the break up.

There I stood on the meadow behind the school right infront of me the love of my life. She opened her mouth slowly the first tear rolled down her left cheek. She stopped looking at the gras and her stare wandered to my eyes. 

"Yachi..." she never called me Yachi when we were alone, so I knew what was going to happen. Tears rolled down my cheeks but I stayed silent. 

"We knew we couldn't be together forever and we knew that after some time life has to seperate us. I think that day is now. We can't be together anymore my parents wouldn't let us. You are the only one that I ever truly loved. My heart belongs to you, but I have to let you go. Go and find someone that can love you in the way I never could. Live your Life in the best way you can and find your soulmate." she said tears flowding down her face. 

"No, you..  you are my soulmate. I can't love anyone but you. Please don't. Please don't leave. Everyone left me, my dad and my brother and I am okay with that. Everyone can leave me and I don't care but you. Please stay." I fell on my knees crying.  

She whispered:"I'm sorry." Her eyes slowly became dry again and she wiped her tears away. She turned away and tried leaving, but I grabbed her hand.

"Stay, please." She slowly pulled her hand away from my grib, looked me in my eyes and her greyish eyes were blurry again. 

In that moment I woke up sweating and tears streamed down my face. My breathing became heavy and I gasped for air. Aimi hurried to my side of the room. Looked me in my eyes and hugged me tightly. She brushed her hand through my hair and tried to calm me down. After some time I could breath again and Aimi sat on my bed next to me. 

"You wanna talk about it?" 

"Actually yes, I do" I looked to my left were Aimi sat and she nodded. 

"The person I love the most left me. And since that day I can't sleep. I see her face everytime I close my eyes. I know she had to leave me but I don't want to accept the fact that I will never be able to spend the rest of my life with her, when he is allowed to. Just because he is a guy and I am not. I miss her so much." 

"Wanna tell me about her?"

I let out a small breath.

"Where do I start? She has the prettiest eyes I have ever seen and her hair is as soft as wool. She was an exellent student and she was caring and friendly. She listend to me and supported me and my dreams. Her warmth felt like home and she smelled like strawberries. She accepted me and all my flaws. Every monday she would bring me a little flower and tuck it behind my ear. She said I would look like a fairy with that flower. Kiyoko Shimizu was truly beautiful on the outside and aswell on the inside." 

"You know Hitoka, when you believe that she is your soulmate than you shouldn't give up. Especially when you know she loves you." 

I turned to Aimi:" But her parents..." 

"Fuck them. Be with who you love." 

Aimi smiled and I returned that smile, it was a genuinely. The first real smile for what felt like an eternity. 

"You are right, Aimi. Thank you." I smiled and hugged her softly. 

"No problem, Hitoka. I'll help you find her. But first lets get some sleep." She stood up, but I grabbed her hand. 

"Can you stay? I don't want to be alone." 

"Of course we are friends now." Aimi smiled and laid next to me. "Good night, Hitoka." She whispered. "Try to sleep."  

My eyes closed slowly, so I didn't noticed Aimi admiring my features. 

I didn't knew at that point that Aimi Kato would be in love with me later on, but if I had known I hadn't asked her to stay and I hadn't told her about Kiyoko. 

Authors note: I don't know if Yachi has a brother in canon and if her father left her, it's just part of the story.
