Polaris Markov and her father , Antonio Markov , drove on the streets of their new hometown, Beacon Hills, at night along with two other cars. A blue Jeep and a smaller car.

The three cars stopped at a red light, the two foreign cars side by side and the Markov's black Land Rover behind the blue Jeep.

Peering through the back shield glass, Polaris could make out two males and  one was shuffling around trying to hide himself. It seemed as if the people in the cars in front of them knew each other due to them acting the same way : panicky.

The smaller blue car started driving away despite the traffic light clearly shining red. "Teenage drivers." Antonio scoffed rolling his eyes causing Polaris to burst into fits of giggles.

"Surely not all are that bad." Polaris managed to get out , catching her breath. "Have you seen your driving?" Antonio joined his daughter in her laughter.

When the light turned green, the Jeep moved making way for the Land Rover to drive too.

With all three cars driving behind each other, their pace was really slow. When the Jeep stopped abruptly, the black car behind them had to come to a halt too almost resulting in an accident.

"Fucking hell!" Antonio screamed. "Dad, dad, dad, dad. Calm down, probably a flat tire or something." Polaris told her father with beckoning eyes. "Doesn't seem like it." He spat , voice laced with venom. "Restrain thy rage , Father." Polaris teased her father knowing it would brighten up his mood.

The blue smaller car stopped too at a distance making the Russian duo look at each other with confused faces.

Seemingly out of nowhere, screams erupted making Polaris jump. "Dad, something's wrong." She glanced at her father. "You think?" He smiled sarcastically making the brown haired teenager glare at him.

The boys in the Jeep in front sprung out of their car towards the screams. "Dad, I'll go see if I can help." Polaris told her father as she ran out of the passenger's seat.

"It ran right into us." She heard a voice say. "Are you okay?" Polaris saw a fair skinned boy ask holding a pale girl's shoulders.

"I'm okay." The girl answered. "Well , I'm not okay." A redhead girl whined. "I am totally freaking out. How the hell does it just run into us?" The redhead continued.

Seeing the boy from earlier move to the front of the car, Polaris followed, not sure why she did. "I saw its eyes right before it hit us. It was like it...it was like it was crazy." The redhead shook her head, no one noticing Polaris' presence.

"No , it was scared." The boy standing in front of Polaris said reaching out his hand to stroke the dead deer lying limp on the smaller blue car with blood everywhere.

Polaris took a whiff of its scent before saying, "Actually, terrified.". Everyone jumped finally taking note of her presence. "Who the hell are you?" The redhead asked in a shaky voice.

"Oh uh, hi. I'm Polaris. I was in the car behind the Jeep and when I heard screams, I thought to come check out the situation and see if I could help." She smiled nervously at the group staring her down.

"Thanks, but, we're fine." The pale raven haired girl smiled kindly. "Great, I'll take my leave." Polaris saluted and ran away into her father's car.

"New friends?" Antonio questioned as he started the car. "I wish." She scoffed as they drove past the group.

The next morning, Polaris woke up to the most irritating noise she had ever heard : her alarm. Smashing the 'stop' button with her fist, she sluggishly dragged her feet across her box-filled room and into her en-suite bathroom.
