Jayka's POV

Here I am again at the FBE studios. It's another day of shoots, and I am very excited. As I enter the building, I hear someone calling my name. I look behind me, and I see Jaxon. He starts running toward me. He smiles at me as he opens the door for me. I grin back at him. We walk together toward the FBE waiting room. He opens the door once again for me. We both sign in, and we both sit on the couch. There is no one else aside from the receptionist. It's just the two of us. We start talking about random stuff until I get called by the producers.

Jaxon's POV

I watched Jayka leave with the producers. The moment she left, I felt so alone. I was alone. There is no one else here right now. I put my head in my hands and started to get lost in my thoughts. Suddenly, a voice broke my reverie. I look up only to find Tori staring at me.

"Hey, Jaxon, are you okay?" She asks. I nod at her.
"Yeah. I was just thinking." I replied.
"About what exactly?" She asked. I look at her. However, I refuse to tell her that I was thinking about Jayka because I know she'll end up teasing me. So, I tell her something else instead.
"About life," I replied.
"Life?!" She laughs at that, and I give her an incredulous look.
"What's so funny about that, Tori?" I ask her.
"Nothing. It's just that you're a teenager." She replied.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.
"Nothing. I didn't expect you to think about life at such a young age." She replied.
"Well, I am a deep thinker, especially when I am alone," I said.
"Anyway, would you like me to keep you company while you wait?" She asked. "It's not really great to be alone." She added. I looked at her and thought about it. It beat sitting alone with my thoughts. I nodded.
"Sure. But aren't you busy?" I asked.
"No, I am not busy. It can wait." She replied. I smiled broadly at her, and we started talking about random things until the producers finally called me. Jayka returned just as I was leaving with the producers. I smile at Jakya.

Jayka's POV

I saw Jaxon leave with the producers just as I returned to the waiting room. I had a couple of more shoots to do for today. I noticed that Tori was sitting on the couch. I sit beside her.

"Hey, Jayka. How was your shoot?" She asked as she greeted me.
"It went really well. I have a few more shoots to do before I am done, though." I replied with a smile.
"That's good. There's no one else here, though." She said.
"Yeah, I know. It was just Jaxon and me." I said.
"That's why I was here. I was keeping Jaxon company while he waited." She said. "And since there is no one else here yet, I will stick around and keep you company while you wait." She added.
"Thanks, Tori. I appreciate that." I said. Tori and I started talking about random things, including my lack of love life. To which I remind her that I am only 15. Tori laughs at my comment.

"Just because you're 15 doesn't mean you can't have a boyfriend or even a crush on someone." She said.
"I never said I don't have a crush. I'm just not looking for a boyfriend." I replied.
"Oh, so you do have a crush!" She exclaimed. "Who is it?" She asked.
"I'm not going to tell you. I know you'll tease me if I do." I replied. I suddenly thought of Jaxon since it was him that I had a crush on even though he was eight months younger than me.
"Oh, come on! I promise I won't tease you!" She pleaded.

I didn't respond to Tori's plea. Just then, the waiting room door opened, and Carson and Jair came in. They look at the two of us.

"Hey, Tori. Hi, Jayka. What's going on with you two?" Carson asks.
"Oh, nothing. I'm just trying to get Jayka to spill the tea and tell me who her crush is." Tori replied.
"Ooh, do tell," Jair said dramatically.
"That's interesting. I wonder who it is." Carson mused.
"I am not telling any of you," I said. I honestly didn't want people to know that I had a crush on Jaxon since I knew that they would tease me, and they might find it a bit weird since he is eight months younger than me. "And don't you two need to sign in?" I added while looking at Carson and Jair. They both nodded and went to sign in with Rebecca, the receptionist. They both took a seat beside me as Tori stood up.

"You will tell me one day who your crush is, Jayka," Tori said. "And since Carson and Jair are here, I will leave and continue working." She added. When Tori left, Carson and Jair continued to badger me about my crush.
"Can I guess who your crush is?" Carson asked.
"You can. However, I won't confirm or deny it." I replied.
"Okay, no problem. I think you crush Jaxon because I have seen how you look at him." Carson said. I stared at Carson, and my jaw dropped. I started thinking, how did he know? Was I that obvious?
"Aha! I knew it!" Carson exclaimed as he took in my expression.
"Look! She's blushing!" Jair said excitedly.
"No, I am not!" I declared as I glared at them both. I started to pout since they were already making fun of me. I sat there with my arms folded.

Jaxon's POV

My shoot ended, and I went back to the waiting room. I still had a couple more shoots before I was done for the day. As I entered the waiting room, I noticed that Jair and Carson were there and that Jayka was sitting between them, and she seemed to be pouting. She had her arms folded.

"Hey, guys!" I chirped. They all looked up.
"Hey, Jaxon!" Carson and Jair said at the same time.
"Hi!" Jayka said quietly.
"What's going on? Are you okay, Jayka?" I asked.
"Yeah, I am okay," Jayka replied.
"Nothing's going on. Jair and I were just teasing Jayka." Carson replied.
"You two are mean," I said to Carson and Jair as I made my way to the couch. I sat down beside Jayka. I got in between her and Carson. "Don't mind these bullies, Jayka. I'll protect you from them." I said as I put my arm over her shoulder.
"Hey!" Jair and Carson protested. "We are not bullying. We just like to tease people." They said.
"Thanks, Jaxon." She said with a small smile as she looked at me and my arm. I realized that I still had my arm around her shoulders and quickly retracted it. I noticed that Carson and Jair were staring at us. However, they were both grinning like Cheshire cats. I glared at them.
"What?" They both asked innocently.
"Why are you two grinning like Cheshire cats?" I asked.
"Oh, nothing," Jair replied.
"It's just that the two of you look very cute together," Carson said. I continued to glare at them. I started thinking that no one knows that I like Jayka, right? I mean, I am not that obvious. I am a gentleman to everyone and don't treat her differently. Or at least I don't think I do. I know a lot of people in the office will tease me if they ever knew about my crush on Jayka. She's 8 months older than me. Which is why I don't want anyone to know about it especially those two.

At that moment, Carson was called by the producers and he left the waiting room. Then, Jayka was called again by the producers and I watched her leave. As Jayka left, Jair moved closer to me.

"I know you like her, Jaxon. Don't even try to deny it." Jair said as a matter of fact.
"Who?" I asked with a shocked expression.
"Jayka. I saw the way you looked at her when we were teasing her. And I noticed that you immediately jumped to her defense." She replied.
"And so, just because I jumped to Jayka's defense doesn't mean I like her. I am a very nice guy. I will defend anybody and everybody." I said. "Jayka and I are friends. Just like you and me." I added.
"You keep telling yourself that, Jaxon." Jair mused. I glared at Jair. How could she read me so easily? I wondered. I needed to think about something else, anything else. I quickly changed the topic of conversation. Then, Jair was called by the producers and I was once again left alone in the waiting room. After a while, I was also called by the producers.

The day ended. I was finally done with all my shoots for the day. I was about to leave the FBE studios when I ran into Jayka. She was also getting ready to leave because she was done for the day. I walk with her and I opened the door for her. Her mom was already there waiting for her. I opened the car door for her and bid her a goodbye. My mom arrived and I hopped into the car.
