I stand there. Sighing. This was gonna be the end of my invisible life. I have always been private and tried my best to stay out of drama but now it was gonna end. Forever. I mean, half of it had already ended thanks to my bestie.

She is quite the opposite of me. She is popular and more of an extrovert. There are many girls jealous of me, wondering why a girl like me got to be her friend. And a number of guys lined up around me asking me for her number or hoping I would set up a date for the two of them.

I turned towards the passenger seat to see him getting out. His eyes were on the building.

"Wow, it's bigger than I remember," he remarked.

I looked at the building and tilted my head. Was it big? I mean, you could say it was big. Yeah, it was big. How come I never noticed it before?

"I guess," I said, adjusting my glasses.

"Hey, you didn't answer when I asked you earlier. Why are you wearing glasses?"

I looked around to see if anyone heard. Yup, they did. If my Bugatti over there was not enough to get everyone's attention, Natsu surely was.

I looked at him nervously, "I don't know. I just felt like it,"

"Really? Your eyes are very pretty and the glasses really help hide it,"

I sighed, "I just don't want guys all hopping around me. At least in school, I don't,"

"So that's why," he said, looking me up and down.

"Don't look at me like that, you idiot!" I shouted.

He chuckled, "Sorry. But you look like a totally different person,"

He was right. My hair was braided in pigtails and I was wearing these nerdy glasses. I was wearing an oversized hoodie and skinny jeans with white sneakers.

Even in this, I get hit on sometimes. Like you gotta be kidding me, geez!

"Whatever. Let's go," I said.

After we got his locker number and all, we headed to my locker. I studied his classes. Except for two or three, we had the same classes. And his locker was also right beside mine. I don't know if I should be happy or sad.

There is one thing I'm sure of. Natsu Dragneel will be back at the top of the food chain which means I won't go unnoticed either. Natsu Dragneel has been my best friend since we were children. He had gone to America for two years and now he was back. There was no doubt some people already recognized him. They'd totally think I was with him for his money if I was not the daughter of one of the richest men in Japan. My dad is the owner of one of the most prestigious hotels in the world.

The bell rang, indicating it was time to head to class. I looked around but there was no sight of her. That is weird.

"Who are you looking for?"

"Did you forget?" I asked.

"What?"

"Not what. Who," I reminded.

He tilted his head in confusion, making the girls swoon at his feet. I rolled my eyes at them only to earn a death glare.

"Lucy! She's not here!" I said in frustration. His eyes turned to something behind me.

"Speak of the devil," he said. I turned to see the crowd parting away for Lucy. She smiled and thanked them. But they were too mesmerized by her beauty to say anything. Lucy was looking more stunning than usual. I mean, that was to be expected. This week was the only week we were allowed to wear anything we want. From the next week, school dress was compulsory.

But still, I could tell she had put a lot of effort today. She was wearing more makeup than usual. Her hair was not in a ponytail and hanging down with loose curves. She was wearing a black cropped tank top and red plaited skirt. Her heels clicked on the ground loudly as she walked towards us proudly.

Yup, that's my best friend. Lucy Heartfilia, the most popular girl in FairyTail High. And me, the most hated girl in FairyTail High. Well, not hated, but more like envied.

"Cool entrance?," she said, "Check,"

"Proud as always, I see. Anyways, Lucy, this is Natsu. I hope you remember," I said as Natsu nodded in acknowledgement of her presence.

"Y-yeah, o-of course. I know the N-Natsu Dragneel," she stammered. Suspicious. I had been friends with her for three years and this was the first time I heard her stutter like that.

"Lucky Heartilia, right?" Natsu asked. Lucky Heartilia? You gotta be kidding me. I just said Lucy.

I looked at Lucy, apologetically, only to see her nod nervously.

"Lucy, it's okay. I'll tell him," I said and turned to Natsu before Lucy could respond.

"It's Lucy, not Lucky. Lucy Heartfilia. Though you were on close on Heartfilia. I'm proud of you," I said. He grinned happily.

And the second bell rang.

My eyes widened. And before I know it, I am being pulled away by Natsu.

"Don't worry, I know where the class is," he said.

"But Lucy?" I asked.

"She's coming," he said, looking behind us.

"Great, then let's hurry," I said and ran alongside him. It was better than getting dragged.

When we reached the class, thankfully, the teacher had not come yet. When I saw that the last window seat was empty, I practically ran towards it. Natsu sat on the seat behind me. I felt the fresh cold air hit my skin.

"That was so fun!" I exclaimed.

Natsu grinned, "I knew you would get all boring once I left. But don't worry I'll bring the old fun Y/n back,"

Maybe she will be.

I turned in front to see the door open. Everyone turned to the door like they did when we arrived, anticipating the teacher's arrival only to find a sweaty Lucy enter. She put her hands on her knees, breathing loudly. Then she looked up at us and glared, "I hate you!"

"You said she was close behind," I glared at Natsu.

"She was," he paused, "Until you started running, too. You're a quick runner,"

"Are you saying it's my fault?" I growled.

"I mean...yeah," he said as though it was obvious.

"Enough the two of you! You should be apologizing than fighting amongst yourself. At least get me some water," Lucy shouted, still breathing hard. The girl at the front desk quickly handed her a bottle as she gulped it down. Someone handed her a handkerchief for her to wipe her sweat.

"Still not my fault," I said softly but quickly shut up when Lucy glared at me.

"I was barely catching up, for your information," Lucy glared at Natsu as he grinned apologetically.

"And you!" she looked at me, "I never knew you could run that fast! I used to always slow down for you cause I thought you were a slow runner,"

"Sorry," I said, apologetically. With a final glare, she headed towards us and sat beside me.
