"tom it's late you should get some sleep."
i said yawning as i rocked elena our daughter back and forth trying to get her back to bed but she kept on crying
"y/n i'm not leaving you alone, it's 3am in the morning and YOU need some sleep"
"tom i'll sleep once she falls asleep"
he sighed taking elena from my arms as i tried to get her back quietly
"tom please don't do this."
he ignored what i had just said and walked upstairs into our room as i followed behind him closing the door behind me sitting on the bed next to him. he rocked her back and forth just like i did as she shut her eyes finally finding peace falling asleep
i smiled softly taking her from him setting her in her crib as i turned the room lights off sitting back down on his lap.
"you're the best father ever."
he smiled against my skin
"mm and you're the best mother ever."
i smiled at him one last time before we both fell asleep.
