You were feeling empty. You felt like you had no place in life.

Yeah, you had a loving girlfriend and a family with the Avengers that any person would kill to have, but you couldn't help but feel worthless. You didn't want to be here anymore. Maybe they'd be better off without you. I mean, if you couldn't appreciate the people who cared for you, then maybe you deserved to die....right?

A few days go by after your original thought. Today felt like the worse day ever. Every time you blinked, all you could see were your dead parents. They died because of you. Or that's what you thought.

See, they were killed alongside a man named Ben Parker. You didn't know the man, but you heard that he had a nephew he took in after his parents died; and a wife. Anyways, you were buying presents for them, running late. They were outside looking for you when they were shot and killed.

You stood up shakily and went to the bathroom. You grabbed a key and unlocked the previously locked drawer, finding a razor. You had cut before, but you stopped, never finding the time to do it. You grabbed the razor and filled up the tub. You took one last look at yourself and sighed and closed the door.

You grabbed a piece of toilet paper and a pen that was lying around, "I'm sorry, Tasha," you wrote on the paper and taped it outside the bathroom door. The Avengers wouldn't be back until a few hours, giving you perfect time.

As the tub was filling up, you stepped inside, your clothes still on your body. You took a deep breath, rolled your sleeve up and glided the razor alongside your wrist, creating a large cut. You moved to your next arm, doing the same. You winced as it glided through your skin, but after you were done, you sighed in relief and sunk in the bathtub.

The water started to turn red from your blood and you could feel yourself getting weaker. You closed your eyes, accepting your fate. You felt your life slip away and you could faintly hear the water overflowing and onto the floor.

After a few seconds, you passed out, almost dying completely when someone opened the door.

"Hey, Y/N-," she said before she looked up, seeing you, "NO!" Natasha ran to you. She started sobbing and a shrill scream sounded through the air. As she went up to you, she pulled you out and you both fell on the floor, Natasha cradling you as she cried, "PLEASE WAKE UP, PLEASE!"

Everyone ran to yours and Natasha room and found you both laying on the floor, the red-head sobbing as she tried to apply pressure on your cuts, cradling you.

Everyone quickly picked you up.

"Let's get Y/N to the medbay!" Tony said as he and Steve carried you.

Soon enough they found out you were still alive, and Bruce tried his best to do everything to keep you alive.

Ultimately, he did, and everyone was happy with that. Natasha was sobbing in Clint's arms, trembling from seeing the love of her life's body in the tub, limp.

Bruce and everyone decided to tie you down to the bed, only for your safety. They knew you wouldn't like it, but they needed to make sure you wouldn't hurt yourself again. They vowed to help you when you woke up, not mad at you for doing it. All of them were actually mad at themselves.

How could they have not noticed?

Your eyes fluttered open and you could feel a head on your lap, revealing Natasha who was sleeping, her tears on the blanket and stained on your face.

Everything was bright, so you had just assumed you were in your dead body's point of few.

"Uh, God?" You called out, "Where you at?"

Natasha jumped up immediately and cupped your cheeks as she kissed you repeatedly.

"Don't... scare... me... like... that... ever... again!" she said in between sobs and kisses.

You sighed after the reveal that you didn't die. After a few minutes, every Avenger came barging into your room, looking at you with soft and tear-stained faces.

Natasha looked in your eyes and you tried to sit up but couldn't, restraints holding you back.

You were about to get mad but you looked back at everyone and shrugged, "This is totally fair actually."

Natasha kissed you again.

"Why'd you do it?" You looked at her emerald eyes before looking away in embarrassment.

She tilted your chin so now you were forced to look at her, your eyes welled up in tears as you imagined how Natasha felt when she saw you.

"Y/N, why'd you do it?" she repeated.

You sighed and tears escaped your eyes as your voice broke.

"I just couldn't anymore, Nat. it hurt too much and I couldn't bare the emptiness I felt inside all the damn time," Everyone else came up to you and hugged you, smothering you after they stayed longer than 30 seconds, "Okay, okay," your head jerked back, "Get off me."

They pulled back and chuckled, wiping their tears.

"So, can we help you get better?" Tony asked, his voice quivering unusually.

You looked around the room, only to be met with the most beautiful eyes you've ever seen. Something was different about them, they were....pleading and begging you.

You sighed and looked back at Tony.

"Yeah, I'll do it for you guys," you said and turned back to the beautiful emerald eyes you met with earlier, "Mostly for Nat, the love of my life."

Everyone laughed.

"That was so cheesy," Clint mused.

"Yeah, yeah, Mr. I love my wife so much."
