Chapter 15 Giraffe

As we searched the Zoo for the brothers I tried to console myself. No need to panic, just 4 crazy vampires spread out in a very large zoo, what could go wrong? The three of us had been searching for over an hour but with little luck.

We were entering the petting zoo section of the park when at last I finally spotted one of the wanted men on our list.

Surrounded by a crowd of women was a certain fedora missing redhead. He seemed to be having a great time being surrounded by all the ladies.

Seeing this scene Ayato remarks, "Should have known he'd be flirting with some women."

As I nod in agreement I sense a deadly aura and look to my right to see Reiji debating on how to best end Laito's perverted life. Right as he's about to go and do that I grab his hand and tug him back.

He gives me a look of confusion to which I answer. "I got this."

With that, I leave him behind with Ayato. After taking a look around I walk over to a random kid. At first, the kid watches me cautiously and I can't blame her. She's probably 10 or 11 which is just the age I need.

"Hey kid, wanna make some money really fast?" I ask.

She stares back at me and hesitantly asks. "How much and what do I have to do?"

I give her the plan and point at Laito to make sure she understands. After negotiating the price I give her $25 and we shake on it. With that, I head back over to Ayato and Reiji who had been watching the odd exchange.

"Ms.(L/N) may I ask why you just gave that kid money?" Reiji asks.

I grin and reply. "Just sit back and enjoy the show."

The two gave me confused looks but did as I said. After a minute of waiting for the child, I had talked to approached Laito.

The girl approaches Laito and the crowd of women surrounding him and yells out. "Daddy! What are you doing with all these women?"

After hearing the word "Daddy" the women are quick to back off. Meanwhile, Laito gives the girl a confused look.

He looks down at her and says. "huh?"

The girl frowns and opens her mouth to say more. "I go to pet the bunnies and when I come back your trying to cheat on mommy, again."

Laito tries to but in. "wait a mo-"

He's cut off before he can finish. "No, you listen here, daddy. Mommy always works so hard and yet here you are trying to cheat on her."

With this, the kid bursts out crying and wailing drawing everyone's attention. The women who had once been fawning over Laito are now glaring at him. People start to grab their kids and leave the petting zoo.

As people start to leave Laito is left with a crying child screaming. " Daddy's cheating on Mommy again."

The kid continues to cry and scream this line till I go over to let her know her job is done. After that, she's quick to flee the scene leaving a confused redhead behind.

Ayato walks over laughing and Reiji has a hint of a smile on his face.

After a few seconds, it dawns on Laito what had just happened. "Ah were you jealous Bitch~chan? You could have just called my name, no need to get a child involved."

I scoffed. "Jealous my ass. Now hurry up we gotta go find the other three lunatics hanging around here." I say as I take off to lead our group through the zoo.

Laito had informed us that Shu had stayed in the food court to sleep and that was just the place we were headed. At least it was till I caught sight of the growing crowd by the giraffe enclosure. Hanging in the mouth of one of the tall animals appeared to be a teddy bear.

I stopped for a second to stare and then looked back at the three brothers with me.

"Please tell me that's not what I think it is." I say to them.

Unfortunately, the world can't be so kind because the answer I receive comes from Ayato who says "It is."

A/N: I'm so sorry for the long wait testing season is finally over and now I just have to worry about my end-of-year finals but all will be well. I really wanted to get something out for you guys this week but I apologize about how small the chapter is. I had planned to write more but these last few days I haven't been feeling too well.
