Assassin's Creed Unity: With you

She crossed her arms, turning her gaze away from her lover's face. "This is ridiculous, Arno." She murmured in annoyance. "I've done all I can to fix this mess, and it seems every time I build everything back up some damned problem comes and knocks it back down." The assassin watched her, not really knowing what to say. His eyes gleamed with hurt at her broken words. "I'm holding onto a thread...and I fear it'll break, leaving me to fall; not really knowing what awaits me below...." She admitted. "...I'll be there to catch you." Arno spoke up softly, hoping it'll be like a light in the dark to her. The Templar sighed at his sudden words, with her head turned at him with a thin-lipped smile. "You speak the truth, I'll give you that." He lightly smiled. "You deserve it, truth nowadays is running thin, cut short, losing its ray of hope. It seems lies is what runs this country now...sadly." Élise kept her arms crossed, listening to his words carefully, she chuckled. "Your honest words strike once again." Arno gazed at the murky bay next to them, then back at her. "I hope." He joked, inhaling sharply then sighed through his nose softly. "Everything okay?" Élise questioned, eyebrow raised. "Mhmm." He noted to her, rubbing his face. "Tired, hmm?" She asked, blinking slowly. Arno focused on the red head in front of him as his hand is rested at his side. "I suppose, yes." He replied with a smile. She stepped towards him, with confidence, placing a hand on his arm, her hand then slides down his arm and intertwines their fingers together. The two stood toe to toe, feeling each other's breath touch their faces. Blinking was the only reply the two got from one another. Arno had the faintest smile on his face as hers was near his. "...and I'm assuming you are not?" He asked, curious. "I grab the feeling when I need be." Élise replied, gently squeezing his hand that was in her grasp. The two shared a loving kiss.

Minutes pass as the two - Templar and Assassin - enter the café, which homes Arno's home. Arno led Élise up the stairs, opening the door to his room. "Here we are." He spoke, stepping aside for her to walk in. "Cozy." She stated, walking in. "It is, isn't it?" Arno commented, walking in after her closing the door. He lazily drug his feet over to his bed and face planted on the soft oak white mattress. She watched the worn down assassin face plant on the bed, she chuckled. "I guess you weren't kidding." The red head teased. "Correct." Arno blurted, muffled voice as his face is shoved into the sheets. All of a sudden his body bounced faintly, the springs of the mattress creaked. Élise plopped down next to him, legs crossed as she looked down at his head, which is shoved into the sheets. He lazily rolled over onto his back, setting his head on her lap, Arno gazed up at her, blinking slowly as his arms are spread out on the sheets like a straight line. His body looked like a 'T'. "Hello." He quietly said. She smiled softly down at him, some how removing his hood. "Bonjour." She replied, petting his head softly and slowly. "You're making me fall asleep..." He jokingly spoke. "Is that a bad thing?" She auestioned, obvious of the answer, her head tilted to the side. "No, no, I don't mind it..." He grinned. "Good." She commented, returning the grin. The two enjoyed the silence between one another, it wasn't awkward, it was peaceful. "I wonder..." Élise spoke, her focus turned to the window and the clear night sky. "Maybe-" she looked back down at Arno to only behold him sleeping soundly. A graceful smile touched her lips. "Sleep well, my love." She said softly.

After a while, the grasp of sleep got hold of Élise. She later then laid down next to Arno, a smile stayed on her lips as she quietly cuddled up next to him, resting her head on his shoulder; slowly closing her eyes, letting her mind slowly drift away....
