When Sarah Smiled

Chapter Two

*Skylar's POV*

Gosh, poor Sarah. She isn't here yet, probably Mariah. Why does she always have to pick on Sarah? To be honest, I'd rather have Mariah pick on me than Sarah. Sarah can't really protect herself, especially from Mariah. I suddenly see Sarah slam the door open, almost startling me to dead. She comes to sit next to me, since it's the only seat open anyway. Of course, she looked mad, so I had to give my usual comment.

"Sarah, you scared me to death.."

"Yeah? Well, you're not dead."

"Let me guess, Mariah?"

"Yep."

"What did she do this time?"

"I dropped my books, bag and binder, I was gutted in the stomach, and died a little inside. Sky, I think I lost all of my dignity."

"Don't worry, I think I have too."

Actually, I didn't at all. I just want her to feel better about herself. She hasn't smiled in forever.

•Sarah's POV•

I knew she was lying. I don't really care, she's trying to help. I turn around, seeing Brendon and Mariah making out. God, look at his terrifying, beautiful eyes. I love him too much...

Everything passed by pretty quickly. Lunch finally came around, and I sat at my normal spot. Me and Skylar sit here all the time, I don't really remember why. We sat in silence, all I ate was a bag of baked Cheetos and a water. I guess I wasn't very hungry, my stomach still hurt. Out of no where, someone touches me on the back.

"Hey, sorry about earlier. I saw everything go down... Are you okay?"

Who.. Who is that? It sounds so familiar.. I turn around, and guess who it was?
