CHECK ON MY BOOK CALLED "THUG PASHYN"
-----
Two And A Half Years Later. . .
"Lelani, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?", the pastor asked.
"I do", I replied while looking deep into Quincy's eyes.
"Quincy, do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?", the pastor asked.
"I do", Quincy replied.
"You may now kiss your bride", the pastor said.
We leaned in to kiss each other when I woke up from the dream. I sat up on the bed and just started crying. Every night I had dreams like this. It had been over two years and they never seemed to go away.
I got out of the bed and went into the bathroom. I washed my face and brushed my teeth. I pulled up my shirt and stared and the bruise I had when I got stuck under the seat and the cut I had from when I had a c-section. Even though it had been over two years the cuts were still there.
I walked down the long hallway of the mansion Quincy left for me. "Hey there", I said to a portrait of him hanging on the wall. I walked down to the kitchen and saw Kyree and Bria eating.
"Mommy! Mommy!", Bria chanted.
"Morning baby", I told her then I kissed her on the cheek.
"How did you sleep?", Kyree asked, and he sliced his pancakes.
"Good I guess", I said, "I had another one of those dreams."
"You know he's not coming back", he said, referring to Quincy.
"I know he's out there somewhere", I said. I grabbed a plate out of the cabinet and put a couple pieces of bacon on it. I wasn't really that hungry. Some how, the dreams would ruin my appetite.
"What makes you think that?", he asked.
"The fact that they never found his body.", I said.
"So he was probably was way too cooked to be found", he said.
"How could you say that I thought y'all were friends?", I sat down across from him at the table.
"Quincy is dead and we wouldn't be friends anyway if he knew me and you were sleeping together.", he said.
"Shut up", I said. I picked Bria up out of her high chair and walked up stairs.
"Daddy!", Bria said as she saw the picture of Quincy.
"That's right", I said told her.
I walked in her room and put her in her crib. Every time I thought about her Id think about how grateful I am to have her here after all the pain that I went through. Its sad that Quincy doesn't even that I had her, he didn't even know I was pregnant. Those thoughts made me want to cry; the feeling that he would never come back made it worse. Even though me and Kyree are shacking up, I don't want Bria to start calling him daddy.
"Mummm", Bria moaned, holding her hands up.
"Lay down babes", I told her.
Bria started crying so I picked and went out on the balcony. I looked down and saw all the guards standing around the house. I had to keep as much security around as possible because I didn't know the person that tried to kill Quincy was looking for me.
"Did I make you upset?", Kyree asked from behind me.
"Nope I'm fine we both just have our own beliefs", I said.
Kyree walked up to me and gave me a kiss on cheek,"How about me and you go on a little date tonight?", he asked.
"Ill think about it", I told him. Kyree was nice guy, but I really wasn't interested in him. It was just the thought of having him around to comfort me.
