Somewhere in my heart I knew It was him, my brain froze, my hands froze, alias gasps were just background noise besides the ringing in my ear.

"EL! YOU JUST GOT A LETTER TO MEET UP WITH LIA.." I smack her.

"Don't say any names in public!" I shout quietly. She stares at me with a stupid expression on her face.

"What alia" I obviously know that she wants to burst into her happy dance she did in the halls twenty minutes ago but instead she says

"This is great! i'm already imagining  it now" she moves her hand up in rainbow motion

"Elise beckett!" I squeeze my temples, oh my god!

"WHAT DO YOU NOT GET ABOUT NOT SAYING NAMES!?" I yell. I get several stares from neighboring seats, I smile awkwardly and wave

"You're making a bigger fuss than me I never thought this day would come '' Alia laid a hand on her chest looking up like a proud mother hen. I roll my eyes. Alia babbles pointless questions while I drift away in thought, why does he want to meet me? Sure maybe we shared a moment but I never thought he'd ever really talk to me, especially me. All the what-if's came into mind. What if it isn't him and it's someone else with those initials? What if it is him but he tells me to never talk to him again because of Mariah? This is so overwhelming I can't take it

"Hellooooo elise? You there we have to get off the bus" I come back to real life and realize how long I've been lost in thought

"Right, sorry ali" I grip my backpack strings and stand up walking out. Mr. Mel looks at me with a 'you okay?' stare i've known him for years of course he would know when im freaking out. I give him a small nod and a weak smile while we get off, Alia never really conversed with the bus driver but I had a soft spot for the old man. The glass doors shut and off we were to walk home.

"Elise, wasnt it crazy when Karl slipped and had ACTUALLY broken a finger?" I giggle till I hear the last part then I just look at her with a concerned expression.

"HE DID?" I ask, she answers

"YES?! How did you not know?" I was about to answer her before we reached my house and saw my mom had never come back from work again. Alia stares at me intently

"El whats wrong?" she asks I bite my lip holding back all these tears and emotion

"My mom never came back so now I have to watch leo and I can't go to the park." my voice cracks. I hate that I'm showing how terrible this makes me feel.

"Oh no! Don't worry El I got you covered I'll watch him till you or your mom gets home and you can go to the park!" I stare at her, thinning my lips, tears lining the bottom of my eyes.

"Really? Thanks ali" I smile trying so hard not to cry it's hard to control my voice but I can hold in tears. She brings me in for a hug

"Of course! Now, we are choosing your outfit" she skipped to my house capriciously. I shake my head, smiling. I walk towards the front door rummaging through my bag for keys. I finally find them and slide them into the lock, the door opens with success and I walk into the scent of roses and smoke.

"Leo won't be home for another hour so we have lots of time" I say throwing my backpack on the couch. Alia does the same and races up the stairs to my room

"Come on! I have so much work to do!" she yells down I stare up at the space he voice came from

"I'm just going to the park" I yell back walking up the steps. She pokes her head out of the door frame sideways

"Yeah with liam" she observed my face and clothes then added

"Like I said we have some work to do '' she goes back into my room, I run up the stairs and walk into clothes on the bed my closet open makeup piling on my dresser. I'm pretty sure some of that isnt even mine and somehow she got it here, I walk up to her and ask how are we even going to fit all of this in an hour she looks at me with a smug expression

"Watch me work my magic"

Alia turns the chair around and I'm stunned. I look casual yet stylish, i have make up on but I look natural, I poke and prod my face

"How did you?" I am still astonished, its two thiry five perfect timing. I look back at her she folds her arms

"You should really trust me more. I get things done and efficiently now GO! Don't want to be late" I smile and rush down the stairs. WAIT I run backup and give her a huge hug

"Thank you" I whisper as she nods and ushers me down stairs. I ran out the door grabbing my maroon colored jacket. If I walk to the public bus I'll be able to make it at three fifty six hopefully! My plain gray shoes carry me for a couple miles till I make it to four corners where the bus usually stops at two forty I gasp for breath, trying to get something back in my lungs. The bus was on time like usual. I climb on my curled hair swishing behind my back, the driver tips his cap to the money bucket I feel around my pockets for a twenty. I feel the velvet touch of a crisp twenty dollar bill. I pull it out and drop it in the bucket. I proceeded to walk deeper into the bus till I deemed a seat by the left end of the bus. I knocked my head on the window and closed my eyes waiting for the bus to stop at my location.

The driver beeps for all passengers to get off at the park. I stand up a little too excitedly, I exit the seat I took residence in for the past sixteen minutes.

"Thank you" I comment, the driver smiles as I walk off the bus entering bridgerton park I twiddle my fingers together trying to keep me distracted. I look around the fear starting to seep in what-if. NO! I push the what-ifs away and walk around a bit before settling down on a bench underneath a pink dogwood tree. I close my eyes, settling my breath.

"Funny seeing you here" I turned around to the source of the voice. It was exactly three o'clock and there he was standing under the dogwood, petals floating down and around him. I barely manage to croak out

"Hey, liam"
