In this AU, Everyone is around the same age except the parents. Lin: 16 Kya: 18. Su: 12. Tenzin: 16. Bumi: 19. Izumi: 19. Korra: 16. Asami: 17. Mako: 17 Bolin: 16

All the parents watched as their kids danced at Ballet Recital. Well except Toph. She was at work which disappointed Lin but the young dancer ignored it for now. Kya noticed how Lin wasn't giving her all but ignored it as she put on her ballet shoes. Her brother and Lin were supposed to do a duet for their recital but he was always off with some chick named Pema. She finished her solo and jogged off stage past Kya. The other girl glanced at her then shrugged as she went on stage. All the girls had practiced their solos except Kya so she quickly finished. When she went backstage, she heard a hushed argument coming from Lin's dressing room. Lin was on the phone with her boyfriend, Tenzin.

Lin: "Where are you?! Our duet starts soon."

Tenzin: "I'm down the street with Pema. Calm down."

Lin: "With Pema? Again... Whatever don't bother showing up."

Tenzin: "What-" Lin hung up. She would just have to freestyle.

Korra and Asami went on stage to do their duet. Everyone watch as the couple effortlessly danced across the stage. It seemed they were perfect. The two finished their duet and went backstage. Korra and Asami high fived each other at the perfection of their dance.

Asami: "I think we did great!"

Korra: "Me too. Now can we change? These tights are too tight!" The raven haired girl chuckled at her girlfriend and led her to the dressing room assigned to them.

Asami: "Yes we can change now babe."

Next was Bumi and Izumi's performance and the two danced. Bumi messed up a few times but nothing too bad or noticeable to the crowd. But Izumi definitely noticed and he was gonna get it when they finished.

The dance instructor called Lin and Tenzin on stage but she stayed back hoping Tenzin was actually coming. He most likely listened and didn't come at all. Kya came up behind the girl as she was finishing up changing into Tenzin's costume.

Kya: "They called your name Lin. Where's Tenzin?" Knowing where this was going, Kya tied her hair up.

Lin: "Somewhere cheating on me..."

Kya: "What was that?"

Lin: "Nothing. I don't know where he is."

Kya: "Do you need a partner?" Lin nodded and looked around nervously. "Cmon." Kya grabbed the other girl's hand and led her on stage.

Lin: "W-what are y-you doing? You don't know my routine."

Kya: "Just do it." The music started and the two danced effortlessly. Tenzin showed up anyways to find his sister and his girlfriend dancing on stage. They both did a grand jete across the stage. Everyone watched in awe as Kya lifted up Lin. Lin did a fast pump turn at the end of the dance and ended it off. (See picture above. Lin is the one standing)

Everyone clapped for the two and Lin hugged the other teen. "Thank you..."

Kya: "Don't thank me. You just owe me a favor now."

Lin: "Depends..."

Kya: "Go on a date with me."

Korra: "Do it Linny!!"

Bolin: "You two would be adorable together!!"

Kya: "So what do ya say?"

The pale girl said nothing as she kissed the brunette deeply. "Is that a good answer?" Their friends cheered as Tenzin paled. The two got a standing ovation and they realized they were still on stage. Kya smiled brightly then carried the other girl off stage as Lin blushed.

Tenzin was waiting for the two furious that his girlfriend kissed his sister in front of him. "What the hell Lin?!"

Lin: "Oh now you show up."

Tenzin: "You don't get to be mad! You just kissed my sister!"

Lin: "How many times have you kissed Pema in front of me? Then claimed you were 'just friends'?! I have every right to be mad and I'm through with you!" Kya simply wrapped her arms around the younger girl.

Kya: "Mine now."

Tenzin: "Kya!!"

Kya: "Tenzin!!" Kya mocked. The boy walked off furious and red in the face. The other teens just looked at each other and shrugged.

As the years went by, Lin and Kya became to most famous ballerina duo in the world. Tenzin eventually apologized and stayed with Pema until he proposed to her and she had their first child. Bumi and Izumi also had their first child, named after Uncle Iroh. Mako met a nice man named Wu and they started dating.

The couple decided to take up ballroom dancing three years into their relationship. They eventually stopped dancing after Kya proposed and opened a dance school for kids. Most of their old friends worked their in the different genres of dancing then some others who taught basic things like math and science. Kyalin ended up getting married and adopted two girls at the age of 26 and 28. They danced the same routine they danced at the recital that started their relationship, at their wedding.

They all lived happily and humbly.
