"there must have been a moment,
at the beginning, where we could have said no.
but somehow we missed it.
well, we'll know better next time."

SUKI DEL ROSARIO HATED THE GIFT OF PROPHECY. And yeah, she understands how many people would die for the ability, but they don't know the constant nightmares and headaches and overall confusion that they have to deal with on the daily. She never was the natural fit for the job like her mother and brother were. Suki saw cryptic signs and ancient symbols and ran the opposite way while they were both more than happy to dig into the tomes of Divination books that covered the walls of their home. Look, Suki knew that she should be grateful for her "gift" and all, but she found it hard to be grateful when every moment of her life was centered around whether or not she'd predict someone's unfortunate demise when she went to have a cup of chai tea.Don't even get her started on the prophecies themselves, which were often so full of over-complicated crap that even she couldn't start to understand them half of the time. And there was nothing worse than the visions, especially when they involved her friends, even though they could be as harmless as a glimpse of Anika acing a Potions test or Conan tripping in the hallway on the way to lunch. Because one day, she had a feeling that it wouldn't be harmless all of a sudden.
