Welcome back! I'm sorry for taking so long to publish this sequel, but I was busy with school and stuff. If you need to refresh your memory, read the first part again and then come back ;)

(Y/n) POV

What is magic? For me, it's a way of escaping the cruel reality. It's a way to finally see something happy in this world

Or that's what it meant, before I met some guy in a clothes shop. Jack Wilder, a normal guy that also believes in magic

Now, for me, magic is no longer my only happiness. Jack, he means the world to me

A while ago, we got into this weird mission with the Eye and now, we were a couple, living in the same apartment, currently hiding

You might remember when I said that this was just the beginning...well, let me show you what happens next

Jack and I were in our apartment, chilling. He was playing with his cards deck while I was listening to music

"Hey (Y/n)"

I stopped my music and turned towards him

"I heard there will be a festival in the city tomorrow", Jack said, "wanna go there? We could finally have a nice date outside"

Jack was still playing dead and Dylan had asked us to keep it that way. He didn't really leave the apartment, I was the one that went out

"Jack, you know you can't be in the public if it's not for a reunion", I said

"c'mon, it'll be just for tomorrow", he asked

Suddenly, our phones rang. We both quickly pulled them out

We had both received a message from Dylan

'let's meet tomorrow'

We both exchanged looks for a second

"Guess we'll have to cancel that date...", Jack sighed

"Dylan better has some good news to give us"

-time skip; next day-

on the next day, we met at the address Dylan had sent us. When Jack and I arrived, Merritt was already there, waiting

"Well if it isn't the two lovebirds", he greeted us

"Hey old man, how's it going?", I chuckled lightly

"Have you been practicing those card moves I taught you?", Jack asked him

Jack and I still hung out with Merritt a lot. After Henley quit, he was one of the only people I told everything. Daniel was a bit distant to us, but he still met up with us once in a while

"Yes, and I improved quite a lot", Merritt said confident

"Really? Let's see it then"

"Here you go", he threw the cards, but without success, "and bingo bango bongo"

"That was impressive", I mocked him

"No, no, no, it's good to be positive despite making zero progress in a year", Jack chuckled

"you failed miserably, Merritt", I said

"Yeah yeah, whatever. I'm still the better hypnotiser", Merritt said proud

"Well, I'd say the student has almost become the master", Jack smirked

"I like your confidence, but you might say that you have the better teacher"

You've reached the end of published parts.
