My phone rang loudly, I opened my eyes slowly, reaching out to grab it and sitting up slowly. I glanced at my phone, Eric was calling me. Eric was my guy best friend. He's very handsome, curly black hair, shaved on the sides, bright green eyes, and freckles, my dream guy. I answered quickly.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hey," He said. I completely forgot to mention that Eric had an English accent, another thing that adds to his handsomeness. "I was wondering if you wanted to go for a walk?" I smiled.
"Sure," I responded, acting like I didn't just wake up.
"I'm sorry, did I wake you?" He asked, concern in his voice.
"Nope," I lied. "Definitely not." I yawned, he laughed.
"Alright, just meet me by the river in twenty minutes," He said.
"Sure," I replied. "Bye."
"See you," He said as I hung up. I glanced at the clock, it was ten, I groaned and forced myself to get out of bed. I threw on a short hoodie and ripped jeans, then raised into the bathroom and brushed my teeth.
I'm a rather short girl with bright blue eyes, golden hair, and a button nose.
Staring in the mirror as I brush my teeth, the excitement hit me, even though I was extraordinarily tired. After brushing my teeth, I splashed cold water on my face and scrubbed on face cleanser, looking up in the mirror in between splashes.
I grabbed the remote, sitting on the bed, and turned on the office while brushing my long curls.
After doing my makeup quickly, I raced downstairs, grabbed my purse, and a banana, and raced out the door, but my mom stopped me.
"Pearl," She said, I turned around slowly, staring at the ground. My mom is a very strict woman. "Where are you going?"
"I'm going on a walk with Eric," I responded sheepishly.
"A boy?" She said suspiciously.
"Mom, he's Eric," I forced a laugh.
"You're not going in his house, are you?" She interrogated me.
"No," I answered quickly. "Just walking."
"Are you sure?" I shook my head while forcing a laugh.
"Yes, Mom." I turned to the door. "Can I go now?"
"Fine." She stared at me. "Stay outside where people can see you." I rolled my eyes and sprinted out the door and down the neighborhood to the river. Eric was already standing there, staring out into the clear sparkling river.
"Hey," I said, smiling.
"Hey," He responded, smiling right back. "How are you?"
"I'm fine," I replied. "How about you?"
"I'm great," He said.
"Good," I nodded.
"It's really beautiful," He said, turning back to the water.
"It is. Really beautiful."
"Would you like to walk?" He asked.
"Sure," I answered.
We began to walk down the neighborhood.
"I had a crazy dream last night," I laughed.
"Really?" He said.
"You were in it," I added. He stopped walking to turn and raise his eyebrows at me. "Yep." I pulled his arm to keep us walking. "It was so weird. We rode a banana to the river, and then we went boating, on the banana." We laughed together as I peeled my own banana and took a bite.
