Nadia’s POV
I noticed her staring at my chest when I rolled over.
Oh, right, I thought. I forgot humans don’t have gills! That’s why she’s staring!
“You’re not used to that, huh?” I said knowingly. “I know what you’re thinking, and, yes you can touch them.”
“Erm…what?” She frowned. “O…okay…”
I tugged at her skirt, motioning for her to sit down.
When she was seated next to me, I took her hand and put it at the top of my gills.
“It’s okay, they’re not going to break or anything. They’re like…having extra mouths!”
