Peter Parker, also known as the Amazing Spider-Man, stood there calmly looking at the farewell between the Fantastic Four leaders, Reed Richards and Susan Richards-Storm, and their kids, Franklin and Valeria Richards. He couldn't quite hear the conversation between the family, but he knew that it was none of his business. Though he couldn't help but smile sadly at the reason for this farewell. The mission was of utmost importance, as they are heading towards the supposedly dead body of Galactus that seemingly stopped it course from arriving at Earth. It was scary to think what was happening out there, but Peter really didn't want to know what was happening. It scared him to even know.

But there was something that they were all missing. Something that Peter didn't know why it made him feel uneasy. He wanted to say anything to get his friends to stay here on earth and just sent a drone to investigate, hell Tony could have easily done that, but he and the others wanted to go, and he knew just how self-centered the others were that they would ignore his warnings. So he just decided to stay quiet, ignoring the gut feeling he had at such a bad idea they all had.

"You are too quiet, Peter. Something's wrong?" Peter snapped out of it when he heard the beautiful voice of Susan Richards-Storm. He glanced at the married woman, only being able to make a soft smile underneath his mask as he just stared at the blonde woman besides him. He sighed, before thinking that it would be best to explain what he was feeling. It was always better to tell the woman his thoughts instead of she getting them out of himself by force. He definitely avoided being squashed like a common spider on the ground.

"Its... its nothing really..."Peter muttered, looking at how the blonde woman just gave him a stern stare. He could even feel the sympathy from Jonathan Storm from across the room. He moved his hand towards his neck, the uncomfortable feeling in his gut increasing ever so slightly. He was distracting himself from doing something rash by scratching his neck. He really didn't need to act rash right about this moment, an important mission was about to start. "I have a feeling that something is wrong... very wrong"

"You think that we should not go?" Peter immediately wanted to say yes. If something was going to happen, at least Franklin and Valeria would have their family with them. But he couldn't consciously tell Susan to leave the mission, the stakes were high and risks had to be taken. Even his own motto of 'With great power, there must come great responsibility' didn't let him to tell her such an answer. Even if his whole being wanted to do so.

"I... I don't know" Peter whispered loud enough for Susan to hear him. He looked away from the woman, not being able to look right at her right now. The gut feeling got worse, making him slightly tremble. He was thankful that it went unnoticed by the blonde female right next to him. It would have been a slight embarrassment to him if he acted in such a way in front of a large public. "There is this feeling that I have been having for a while now... I wouldn't want to see you and the others in the middle of it. You are all like family to me"

"Like I said to the kids, we'll be alright" Peter glanced back at Susan once more, staring at the blue eyes of the woman that he had admired for a very long time. He thought the world of Susan, being someone that he would have really considered going out with... something he actually almost managed to do when they met for the first time, but nothing happened in the end and Peter went his own way. But he was happy that Susan was able to gain the happiness she wanted from Reed. "I just need a favor from you, Peter..." Peter focused on her words. Seriousness was laced on his face, which was hidden by his mask. He was fearing the worst by now, not having the slightest of ideas to what she may ask. "Protect Franklin and Valeria for me, alright?"

"With my life, Sue..." Peter didn't hesitate to say such words. The kids of the married couple of the Fantastic Four were like his own kids. He had seen them grow from babies into kids, from kids into teens, and from teens into young adults. He had been in their life, and he was glad that he didn't miss that much about the life of the two kids. So without a shadow of a doubt, Peter would do anything for Franklin and Valeria. So it came to a sudden shock when he felt a pair of soft lips against his cheek. He widened his eyes as he saw Susan smiling at him. He couldn't see it, but he would be almost certain that his mask had a rosy lip mark on it.

"Thank you..." Peter couldn't help but watch Susan walk away, climbing through the stairs of the spaceship. He watched as she turned around, only to wave at him and the kids which were slightly in front of him. He watched as the stairs began to merge with each other, creating the door which then merged with the fuselage of the spaceship.

"Come one, kids... let's distract ourselves from this..." Peter commented as he led Franklin and Valeria, who were silent and without any response, to the exit of the hangar. Peter felt his gut feeling get stronger and stronger, making him feel worse than before. He could only look back at the now empty space with a longing look before making a sigh. He didn't know whether to feel anxious or worried, but right now... he really needed the distraction.

Time Skip; 4 Yancy Street; With Peter Parker

"Science is about constants and variables" Peter smiled as he patiently heard Valeria's explanation about science. He and the kids were on the roof talking and distracting themselves from the mission that their friends and family had gone to. Peter was playing chess with Valeria, and the hero could definitely see Franklin relaxing on a chair and reading a book. It was calm and it had distracted him a bit from what was happening, but his nerves were getting him to have turned impatient. "Some things you can plan for. Some things you can't. And space? Space is the ultimate variable" Peter couldn't help but nod at the last statement. It was the sole reason why space was still a mystery to even most experts in the world. Because they didn't know what were some of the discoveries that they had found outside of their planet. Sure experts had gathered way more information thanks to space heroes and such, but space could be said to be as large as the universe, anything could be out there. "We think we know what's out there... But we don't. We can't. There's literally no end to it"

"Wow... You have taken stalling to a whole new level" Peter snarkily remarked, making both kids to chuckle a bit. Peter was glad that Valeria and Franklin were distracted from what was happening with their parents. And while he still had that thought in his mind, worried about everyone that went to the mission, he was glad that the kids were distracted about it. Though he felt that something was coming and the bad feeling in his gut had increased. Though he ignores it in hope of not worrying the kids. "Your move, Copernicus"

"I'm just saying, Uncle Peter... 'Geniuses' like dad think they have it all figured out, and people listen because they're even dumber than the geniuses are" Peter couldn't help but shake his head a bit at the remark. While it was true what she was saying, what she didn't understand was that people needed guidance. It was the sole reason that they listened to those with more expertise in the field. It was the sole reason that he always went towards Stephen Strange when something magical was threatening New York or was specifically attacking him, like Morlun. "But really, Dad's like Ptolemy with his geocentric universe. Or Galileo with his stupid tides... things"

"I get it, Val. Space missions are intense. It's tough not knowing what they're doing up there" He could already feel the nerves that Valeria had been feeling beginning to show themselves. It had made the young kid ignore the terminology of a scientific material, which she was always strict of saying correctly. So Peter couldn't help but talk softly at those actions. He needed Valeria to calm down from her nervous state. "But your mom and dad are pros! Plus they've got Ben, Johnny, the Avengers, and the X-Men with them..." Peter softly muttered, extending a hand at the blonde female teen. He could see how Valeria was still not moving, though he knew that she heard his words. So he recalled his hand back, trying to make her feel at ease. Though he knew what she wanted in her heart, she wanted her parents back with her. "That's the best crew there is, hands down. You and Franklin are probably less safe here with me then they are up-"

"That doesn't make any difference. It's all just constants and varia-"

"Hey, guys? I see something" Peter and Valeria stopped talking, moving their heads towards Franklin. Peter could see the slack hand that the black haired teen had in his hand, almost dropping the book in his hand. But what made Peter's gut feeling worse was at the sight that Franklin was trying to show them. Something was entering the Earth's atmosphere, and he would always recognize what that was. It was Galactus, but what came after that made Peter's gut feeling worse. Heroes that looked like the undead were coming out of the cosmic monster that was named Galan. It made Peter react fast and swiftly.

"Get towards the Fantasti-Car! It seems that they found something that they shouldn't have found!" He shouted as Franklin rushed inside, forgetting the book that he had dropped on the roof. He could hear the silent gasp from the blond female teen, making Peter rush towards her in hopes to calm her down. He was going to do everything in his power to protect the kids just like he promised. He just hoped that it was not too late for the adults of the family, or the kids would be completely devastated.
