Lynx's inner rage was burning. Her father told her, 'I am the first capt, little girl. You're second.' It set her off, to just say the least. She had stirred the ship though a cove with thousands of rocks, while her father coward in the lower decks. She had thought up a plan in her sheer rage. She would get the six million doubloons from her chest, and turn them into Nevercoins. Each doubloon equaled around two Nevercoins. So, she would end up with 12 million Nevercoins, she could almost buy the whole island! Slamming her door open, she didn't care if a few bolts flew loose from the sockets. Lynx wouldn't need to pack a lot, for she knew every cove on the whole island. She knew where food would be, along with water, but the inhabitants would be different. All her father told her about anything that lives there was a green flying man. She rustled maps aside, till she found the map of Neverland. The island was full of mountains and forests, which would be full of berries. She would first, go to the mainland and buy a Naringa. Naringa was the island's transport, huge and strong beasts. They had the body of a horse, almost always dappled, but they had the teeth of a wild dog. They were creatures of war. The Naringa's eyes were said to be of a wolfs', which if the Naringa doesn't trust whoever looks into them, turns to stone. Instead of hooves, they had claws. Their tails were of dragons, spiked and poisonous. Done with packing, Lynx put on her hat. It was in the likeness of her father's hat, but her's had a velvet sheen. Now, she was ready to face the whole of NeverLand with all of it's a mockery for the legacy of her father.
"Twelve thousand Nevercoins m'lady." The shopkeeper said. The shopkeeper was a plump man, with frosty white wisps of hair on his head. He wore a white apron, which had pockets full of tools.
"For your finest Naringa? That seems cheap for a full-blood Naringa." Lynx said. Her hand was itching just to reach her bag and pay the man already. Before, in the shopkeeper's horrible attempts of trying to sell her the baby Naringa, which he said would turn into a powerful beast, she had become paranoid. She hated salesmen.
"I get most of my profits from the ponies I import. They sell like hotcakes." The shopkeeper chirped. Ponies were short and stocky and sold for millions.
"Show me the herd. I'll choose." Lynx told the shopkeeper. He looked baffled. It was probably because of the Naringa's stone-turning eyes. But, Lynx knew how to get the best Naringa. You stare them straight in the eye for a flash then leap onto their back. Seeming simple, but not. If done incorrectly, it could cost you with your life.
Lynx and the shopkeeper walked over to the paddocks, which one had a 30 strong pony herd, then the field of Naringas. It was almost a blur of the most vivid of purples and the most vibrant of reds. Her eyes easily sifted out the leader. It was a dazzling red, with spots of yellow and orange. "How much for the leader. I'll take him." She said. Then almost instantly she slid under the fence, keeping her head down to avoid the Naringa's metallic stare. Now there was no thunder of the Naringa's claws on the dirt. There was no screech of their calls. She continued walking towards the lead Naringa, which was standing frim ahead of her. She quickly looked up, staring straight at the leader's eyes. Then, she lept up on the Naringa's back and grabbed the horns of the beast. The beast was willing, and calm under her. She smiled. "I'll take him. He's the one." She said She tapped the Naringa's sides with her heels and the Naringa walked over to the fence. The shopkeeper fished out a halter from his pockets and handed it over to her. She fitted over the Naringa's head and stepped off onto the fence. "Bandit, you magnificent beast." She patted Bandit's neck
"What are you to name 'em?" The shopkeeper chirped.
"Bandit, for there will be many great chases on the Naringa." She said running her hand down Bandit's neck. The shopkeeper looked baffled, but Lynx provided the shopkeeper with the payment, and got back on Bandit and started her way to her camp.
