𝐂ome with me
And I'll tell you a story
A story so old but often said,
A tale of love and glory.

Love clasped his hand
And travelled on his bones
Settled in his muscles
And weighed his heart like stones.

Love captured his mind
And trapped his legs
Drank up all his blood
And left him the dregs.

Love killed him
And oh, did it bring him alive
He hid it away, and slowly died,
And then needed it again to revive.

Aphrodite held his arms
And he held close that which he held dear
And for a second he felt empty air
But a shadow on his side, and yes, love is still here.
