Amari's POV:
When we get home, our soulmates are all sitting in the living room area, watching a movie. Levi, Tristan, and Lexi are all sharing a bowl of popcorn while Kayden is drinking blood from a bag.
Kayden looks over at us and, to everyone's surprise, he gets up and almost runs over to Simon. He cuddles into his soulmate's side, closing his eyes.
"Looks like you bought all of that shit for nothing," Winston murmurs as he walks over to the couch and hands Tristan the ice cream that he bought. "Here you go, baby."
Tristan shrieks and grabs the container. "You just graduated from fuck buddy to friends with benefits."
"What's the difference?" Lexi asks, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, it means we cuddle after sex because we're friends, not just fucking," Tristan responds. "You can be my two week boyfriend if you go get me a spoon, though."
Winston sprints to the kitchen.
I notice Kayden and Simon talking in hushed voices before Simon lifts his soulmate up and carries him to the couch. Clearly something happened when we were gone that caused Kayden some kind of distress.
Elijah and Greyson have taken up half of the big couch with Levi, Kayden and Simon on the other side with the blood bag left on the side table. Tristan and Winston are sitting on one of the love seats, Winston longingly looking at Tristan who is blatantly ignoring him for his ice cream.
I sit down on the other love seat and Lexi skips over to me, sitting down and leaning against me.
"I got you something," I say, handing Lexi the container of Oreos.
He grins. "I love you," he says, kissing me briefly before he digs into the package of Oreos. "I got more lingerie, so me wearing that is my gift to you."
Lexi wearing lingerie is one of the best things. He is absolutely beautiful in general, but when he dresses up, Lexi takes on a different, more intense persona that is among the most amazing things I've seen in my life.
"So you all had fun?" I ask, wrapping my arm around Lexi and patting his hip.
He hums, biting half of an Oreo before feeding me the other half of it. "Yeah, it was really fun, except for the part where our soulmates ended up stalking us. Apparently they can't live without following us around," he says, giving me a displeased look. "Kayden was really salty."
"He seems to have gotten over it," I say, because Kayden is currently curled up in Simon's lap, his eyes closed.
Lexi hums. "That's because we had to go to the basement and get blood for Kayden and Roman was talking shit. As usual."
That explains Kayden's eagerness to see his soulmate.
"We told him to stay up here but he said he'd be fine," Lexi grumbles. "He wasn't, just so you know."
I nod in understanding as Lexi's eyes find the television. "I picked up on that, sweetheart," I tell him, surveying the room and looking at all of our friends.
Our family.
Tristan has put away his ice cream and is cuddling with Winston, all of their earlier bickering pushed aside. That's the cutest thing about their couple; Tristan is such a sarcastic, salty person, but he really does just crave affection and wants to know that Winston loves him. Thankfully, Winston is happy to show him all of the love and attention he needs.
"Amari... they're all distracted if you want to sneak off," Lexi whispers, kissing my neck and nibbling on the skin there. "Not that they would care anyway."
