"-And please stop looking at him so much, you're making it obvious."

"Huh? I was?"

"Yup. See? He's the one looking at us now because he caught you."

"Oh god, he's smiling and waving...He's so cute."

"Head back in the game now, please."

Jisung glanced momentarily at Jeno before redirecting all his attention back to Chenle, who was waving from across the canteen with a plate of food in his hands. He returned the gesture and felt his face soften at the adorable sight. "I can't believe I'm going to go through with this..."

"Bruh, a confession shouldn't be that difficult if you like them that much." The older was looking between the two lovebirds, knowing that his words probably fell on deaf ears. Chenle was brought away from Jisung's view when Jaemin showed up to drag him somewhere else. The youngest turned back to his friend as though a spell had been lifted and beckoned him to grab a table.

"We have history next so I'll see him there," Jisung told himself, giving Jeno a strong thumbs-up. "We need to design some leaflets for the play which...is...toMoROW!"

"Tomorrow?" Jeno reiterated and found his gaze following Chenle and Jaemin as they disappeared around a corner, the younger of the pair throwing his head over his shoulder to look at Jisung even though said boy has his attention on Jeno. "You did get me a front-row seat, right? Because Jaemin said that Chenle got him one and boy I'm desperate to sit beside him."

"Of course I did. I left it in your locker this morning."

"Panic averted, bro."

Jisung turned around to see if he could still see Chenle anywhere, but was a bit late as he'd left only a second ago. "So I'm going to tell Chenle I like him after the play, and that'll also get him away from Jaemin so that you can swoop in there and say what you gotta say."

"Sounds flawless." The pair looked at each other encouragingly and sat down to a canteen table.

Whispers around them alerted that the student body was excited for Jisung's performance, as they were last year too. The taller smiled to himself when he remembered the line of girls trying out for the main female part just to be on stage with him, but little had they known that he'd spend opening night on stage with two boys acting out a love triangle. "Jen, I can't believe we've been working on the play this long."

The elder hummed and flitted his eyes around the watchful gazes. "Jeez, it seems like their interest in you has resurged, what with the theme of the play."

"I guess so. I'm only interested in one person, though."

"I'm flattered, bro!"

They made exasperated eye contact and laughed, beginning to eat the food sitting on the table in front of them. Tomorrow was showtime. And Jisung couldn't be more excited to spend it with Zhong Chenle.

"Lights, costumes, backgrounds, props! Lord, do I have to do everything myself?!"

"B-But Renjun, you're the director-"

"Sorry, did you say something? Oh, you'll get those lousy art students for me? Please, be my guest. What a helpful classmate."

The student dejectedly wandered away, destined for the art room and the busy art students who were supposed to have dropped the painted backgrounds down to the theatre an hour ago. Things were getting hectic. Donghyuck had excused himself to avoid all this, while poor Chenle, as a new member of the crew, didn't know the pandemonium of the 'Day Before'. Luckily, Jisung had sacrificed his dignity to accompany Chenle. The two of them were also being bossed around.
