Chapter 20

Ymirs Pov:

It's now later that day and we just arrived at the beach. It's been years since we last been there. But since we know we have have to fight against marley soon we want to spend our last peaceful days..well peacefully.

"So..how do you like your birthday so far?" I ask while wrapping my arms around her waist from behind.

Historia and I are sitting in the sand, while the others are either swimming or doing the same.

"It's amazing, thank you." She replies before turning her face around so she can kiss my cheek.

"I love you." She whispers in my ear, which makes me smile.

"I love you too." I tell her and then kiss her neck.

"You know you can go swimming if you want." Historia says and I breath out deeply.

"I don't want to. I want to spend your special day by you're side." I respond and she turns around to face me.

She lays her arms over my shoulders and then leans in to kiss me. Immediately I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her closer to me until she's sitting on my lap. We continue kissing for a few more minutes before I pull away, which makes her frown. I chuckle at her face expression and then put my hands under her butt and lift her off my lap before laying her down on our towel. Then I lift her shirt and lean down before starting to leave soft kisses on her stomach.

After a few more kisses I pull away and brush my thumbs over her stomach. "And I love you too." I whisper softly before kissing it one more time.

I look back up to Historia and she's..crying. So I quickly sit up and so does she.

"D-Did I do something wrong?" I ask worried but she just shakes her head.

Historia wipes her tears away and then cups my cheeks. "You didn't do anything wrong. I'm just very happy." She tells me and my eyes widen a little.

"Wait here, I'll be right back." I say before quickly getting up and rushing to Sasha, who's in the water with Connie and Jean.

"Hey Sasha!" I whisper yell and she walks over to me.

"Yeah?" She asks with a raised eyebrow.

"You still got the ring?" I ask but she just frowns at me.

But then her eyes slowly widen and she starts to smile widely. "You gonna do it now?" She asks shocked and I nod shyly.

Since I was afraid that Historia might find the ring at ours I gave it to Sasha until I'll propose to her.

"I have it in my pocket, follow me." Sasha tells me and I nod before we walk over to her stuff.

I'm just not going to question why she has it in her pocket..

When we are there she quickly grabs her jacket and grabs the little box out of her pocket. She carefully gave it to me, so that Historia won't see it, since she's probably watching us curiously.

"I'll tell the others so they can watch." She says before running to the others.

I chuckle and then walk back to Historia, who's looking at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Okay so um.." I look down nervously, which makes her stand up.

"Are you okay?" Historia asks worried but I quickly nod in response.

I slowly take her hand with my free one and squeeze it sofly. I take a deep breath before speaking up again

"I was actually planning on doing this later but when you looked at me like that I knew this is going to be the perfect timing." I start and she stares at me curiously.

"I wanted to do this ever since I was a teenager, ever since I fell in love with you. A-And I know maybe I was taking some time to do this but I guess I was just afraid that you'll reject me. I know you wouldn't because you want this as much as I do but there was still a little part of me that was just scared. But I'm not scared anymore so.." I go down on my knee, which makes her eyes widen immediately.

I let her hand go and take the little box from behind my back and open it, showing the sliver ring.

"Historia Reiss, will you marry me?"
