It was annoying. Simple as that. The quiet hissing of Potter as he spoke Parstletongue into his sleeve. Draco wasn't certain if he was speaking to something or just to himself.

He decided he was going to corner the shorter male later that night in their shared dorm.

It was their eighth year and they had all come back different. Potter was no different. He wasn't some small frail boy anymore. He had filled out wonderfully, Draco noticed this when the other would step out of the shower.

He wasn't very built, but he had defined, wiry muscles that looked ever so satisfying when damp from the shower. Dark skin glistening and green eyes glimmering.

Draco wasn't afraid to admit it, he found Potter very attractive. He wasn't sure when he started to feel that way but he did. Draco liked watching his wiry muscles in his back flex and contract as he moved and he felt bad when he saw all the scars that covered his body, the faint white lines standing out against his heavily tanned skin.

It had taken Potter almost four months to finally stop changing in the bathroom as he began to trust Draco. He still wasn't comfortable telling all that had caused the scars, and Draco wouldn't push.

Draco was laying in bed now, reading a book, when Potter walked in. They exchanged their usual "Potter." "Malfoy." greeting and Draco watched him slink off to the bathroom.

He heard the water turn on and fifteen minutes later heard it shut off. He listened as Potter shuffled around and quickly went back to pretending to read as he walked out of the bathroom, clothes in hand, towel low on his hips.

Draco couldnt stop himself from speaking.

"Potter?" He asked, trying to sound indifferent.

"Yes, Malfoy?" He heard the deeper voice ask, and shuddered slightly.

"I've noticed you've taken to talking in Parstletongue a lot lately, why is that?" Draco felt like kicking himself, he shouldnt be asking such things.

Draco was startled when Potter laughed. He blushed lightly as Potter walked over and sat on his bed, still only wearing a towel.

He slowly lifted his eyes from his book, trying to remain stoic. He could see the joy that lined in potter's face as he held out his arm and Draco was startled to see a small snake wrapped around his hand. How had he not noticed that before?

"This is Heddy. She's been there for me since after the war. You can hold her if you want to, she's very friendly." Draco stared in awe of the small creature. He smiled as she looked at him, cocking her head slightly.

Heddy slipped her tongue out, and Draco blushed at as a slew of hissing noises left Potter's lips.

Draco watched the small smile that slid onto his face, then he frowned and hissed something out, then he stood back up, promptly setting Heddy down on Draco's lap, who slid up his chest and around his neck.

Draco tried to stay distracted from watching Potter by focusing on the snake. He failed.

"So Potter, what were you two chatting about?" He asked casually.

Potter tensed up and Draco thought he saw his ears go red slightly. "Its not important."

Draco let him finish dressing in peace and watched him return over to him to fetch his pet snake. Draco hadn't noticed at the time but the snake had moved down to rest on his hip.

Potter looked up at Draco from the snake. "Er- Malfy? Do you mind grabbing her for me?"

Draco reached down to grab the snake but she moved at the last minute, choosing to rest above a certain place. Draco blushed and noticed Harry did as well.
