Take The Stages takes place in Redding, California, 1994. The first episode takes place on April 15th, where it's a 12 year old girl named Alex Pérez's first day at Somerest middle school, after moving to America to live with her 23 year old sister, Sofía and her current boyfriend, Nathan Hall after being sent to live with them due to her parents getting a divorce. The most common locations in the show are Somerest middle school, Florez candy shop, and Lake Redding park. The artstyle is supposed to mimic the general artsyle of anime in the early 1990s. Taking inspiration from Sailor Moon and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
