Peter to the rescue

Peter was on his way home from Sirius, James and Remus. It was a full moon last night so as usual the other two Marauders were helping Remus. They were in the basement at Godric Hollows just like any other time. It was Halloween today so he would be back later for a little party.

When he got home he unlocked his door and saw someone. It was Voldemort. He took out his wand and got ready even though he was scared.

'I'm a Gryffindor. I can do it.' he thought.

"Ah, Peter Pettigrew, I've been wondering where you've been. But Severus had brought up it being a full moon when I asked him what he was doing with wolfsbane. He also told that you, James and Sirius were unregistered animagi. I believe Potter is a stag, Black is a dog and you're a rat."

He froze.

'Stupid Snivellus.' he thought.

"Why don't you have a seat and we can have a chat."

He stayed put but was then hit by something and was forced to sit down.

"Now what do you say we have some pumpkin juice?" Voldemort said handing him a cup.

Peter just sat there not doing anything. Then Voldemort shoved some in his mouth. He tasted something he was familiar with, Veritaserum. He was the third best in his years at Hogwarts in potions and the best at it of the Marauders. Snape was the top, Lily was second best of their years.

James was best at transfiguration, Remus was best at Defense Against the Dark Arts and Sirius was best at history. So the four of them will help each other when they study and do their homework. Thanks to them helping each other they all made it to NEWT and got outstanding on the four of them for exams, OWLs and NEWTs. Even Peter which made his parents and McGonagall proud of the four.

Like they were hoping Sirius and James were aurors. Since Remus was a werewolf Sirius will give him money from his account at Gringotts.

"Now, answer a few questions. Where are the Potters?"

Peter kept his mouth as shut as he could but finally opened it.

"In Godric Hollow." he said.

"What spell is it at?"

"Fadilius charm." Peter was trying to fight it.

"Who is the Potter secret keeper?"

"Me." he tried to fight that the hardest.

Then he was hit by the antidote and Voldemort apperated. He did the same thing and headed to Godric Hollows.

When he got there he knocked on the door quickly then it was open.

"Peter? What are you doing here? We just finished last night's full moon. And you weren't coming over until the party." James said.

"Pack up things, get Lily, Harry and go to Hogwarts now! I'll explain everything when you get there. I need to get Sirius and Remus." James opened his mouth but was interrupted. "NOW PRONGS!"

James was shocked because his friend never did that but nodded. He went and got Lily and Harry, packed up and they left to Hogwarts. Then Peter went to Sirius and Remus and told them to go to Hogwarts.

When they all got there and in Dumbledore's office they stared at him.

"What's going on Wormtail?" Sirius asked while Harry was on his hip and munching on a stuffed dog.

"When I got home from the full moon Voldemort was in my house somehow." Everyone froze. "Then he forced me to sit down, gave me some pumpkin juice but had Veritaserum in it. I tried to keep it quiet, I really did guys but he found out where you were, I was your secret keeper and what made it impossible to find. So I apperated to you guys and told you to get here because this is the safest place I can think of."

Everyone was shocked after hearing that. The only people that knew they changed secret keeper were the Potters, Sirius, Remus, Peter and the Order. That way if something happened Sirius didn't have to worry about Azkaban.

"Well Peter, if you were still in school you would have gotten 100 points." Dumbledore said while his former teachers nodded.

"I would never let my best friend get hurt. Especially Harry! Not my Prongslet!" he said.

"So what do we do?" Lily asked.

"Stay at Hogwarts now that he knows." Dumbledore said.

The four Marauders and Lily nodded.

"Where are they staying?" Remus asked. "The room of requirements maybe?"

They all nodded. So everyone went there and it looked like a bedroom. Harry was falling asleep so Sirius put him in the crib, James handed him a stuffed stag, put it next to Harry and gave him a kiss.

"Night pup."

Harry had a stuffed stag, dog, wolf and rat for the Marauders. They all walked over a bit and sat down for a chat.

"What are we going to do? We know he's not going to give up! And if he doesn't end soon this war is going to go on for Merlin knows how long! And if it's still on when Harry gets to school it'll be even more dangerous for him!" Lily said.

Everyone that had heard the prophecy knew it was about Harry because Bellatrix Lestrange had gone over to the Longbottom's yesterday. And Dumbledore knew that both Harry and Voldemort were halfblood so he would go after them.

"I don't know Lily, I don't know." James said.

"We'll think of something." Remus said.

After a few hours they split up.
