Will You Be My Girlfriend? (pt. 2 of "wHaT")

Aru POV

Oh my gods. There was no mistaking that voice. Or should I say, voices. Yup, you guessed that right, Boo and Mini.

Me and Aiden turned around, seeing Boo and Mini's super duper omg-what-the-heck-happened-here shocked faces.

"What is this?!" said Boo after a moment. He started talking 3 weeks after he hatched. Well, at least he wasn't chirping anymore.

"It's not what you think!" I blurted out. I looked over at Aiden, who was as red as a tomato. Betrayal! I thought, He's supposed to be a potato!

Suddenly, Mini started laughing uncontrollably. Oh Gods. She probably sent something to Brynne, and then Brynne told the twins, and then Rudy and Hira were informed, and they're all at the portal right now and coming for her with teasing. Oh Gods.

"Do you like each other?!" Boo blurted out.
"They've always liked each other!" Mini said, still laughing.
"How was I NOT informed?" Boo huffed, fixing his position that sparks of fire flew in the air.

Suddenly a voice said, "Maybe because you're oblivious to everything,"

And then, just as I had predicted, stood the rest of the Potatoes. Brynne, Nikita, and Rudy were all smirking. Sheela had a look that clearly said I-knew-this-ALL-ALONG-and-I-didn't-tell-you, and Hira was giggling. Me and Aiden's faces were completely red.

Then suddenly Brynne starts crying. "Finally! I thought you were NEVER gonna get together! I was so sick of watching you two being so damn oblivious!" she cried. There were tears flowing on her cheeks, but they were happy tears, not sad ones.

Then the rest of the girls starts crying with her except me.

Aiden and I glanced at each other with why-are-they-crying looks. Rudy and Boo also looked confused.

"Why are they crying again?" Rudy asks.
"I have no idea," said Boo. Then he looked at Rudy with confusion. "Wait, who are you again?"
"I am Prince Rudra of the Naga-Loka."
"A stupid name if you ask me," Boo replied.
They glared at each other.

I looked at my sisters, yes I see Hira as my sister, they were still crying.

Then Aiden signaled to leave while the others weren't looking. I nodded.

Slowly, we got to the door and quietly opened and closed it.

When we got out, Aiden looked at me and said, "So... where are we going now?"
His face still looked red, then he looked away from me and grabbed Shadowfax to adjust the settings. Classic Wifey, I thought.
"Your place?"
"No! Your mom is still there, and they'll just tease us," he said.
"Oh. Yeah,"
"What about the park?" He suggested.
"Yeah, I guess that's cool."

Aiden POV

As me and Aru walked to the park, we talked about things. Like why I like wearing hoodies and oversized t-shirts that have a dark color so much, what her reaction was when she first tasted Oreos and Swedish Fish, etc, etc.

I sighed. I missed this. The two of us just talking about silly things that didn't even matter. Her silly smirk on her face. Her beautiful black hair. More importantly, I missed her. My beautiful, sassy, and sarcastic Aru Shah. Well, she's not mine, but I hope she will be soon. Hopefully she'll understand that she's beautiful than anyone else.

Unfortunately, I've been staring at her for a while, because Aru slapped me. But it was a gentle slap.
"Hey Wifey, you've been staring for a while. Something on my face?" She says.
"Oh. No, it's just- um, nothing," I say.

When we got to the park, we walked around for a while. The Atlanta Park was pretty huge, so me and Aru can explore it for a bit.
It was getting pretty hot out, not that hot, but you know what I mean. So I decided to ask Aru if she wanted ice cream or froyo.

"Hey Shah, you wanna get froyo or ice cream?" I ask.
"Yeah sure, it's pretty hot out now anyway," she replied.
"Ice cream or Froyo?"
"Froyo,"

We got to the froyo place, and Aru reached for her pocket. But I stopped her and smiled. I wasn't gonna let her pay, it's my duty to pay. She looked suprised, but just shrugged. Then the waitress looked at us like we were two little cute children wearing kangaroo costumes.

"Aww! You two are such a cute couple!"
Aru and I turn red. I was about to tell the waitress that we weren't, but Aru beat me to it.
"Oh, no we aren't a couple. We're just friends," she said, still blushing.
The waitress smiled and said, "That's what they all say,"

She served our Froyos a few moments later. I got vanilla with some sprinkles on it, and Aru got mint chip chocolate with oreos.
Classic Aru, I thought. While we were eating, Aru's phone rang. She pulled it from her pocket.
"It's mom," she says.
She answered the phone.
"Yello, mom?"
"Aru where are you?"
"I'm having froyo with Aiden, I'll be back soon,"
"OK, have fun."

Aru and I finished our froyos and it was starting to get dark and colder. Aru looked like she needed a hoodie, so I took mine off and offered it to her.
"Wait, aren't you cold?" she says, looking suprised.
"No," I say, "I thought you needed it more than I do,"
Aru took it and put it on. And she looked damn cute.
She leaned closer, tiptoeing so she can reach my face, then kissed me. On the lips. She was kissing me. Hard.Very hard.

After a moment, she pulled away, smirking.
"Let's go home, snob," she says, a little red in the face but she was smirking.
"Oh really?" I say, "You're not the only one who can do that,"
Then I kissed her hard too, and she kisses back. My body felt very hot, as if sunlight was poured into my veins. I didn't know how long we stayed like this. A second? A thousand years? I didn't know.

Then we pull back, smiling at each other.
Then I decided to ask her what I meant to ask for a very long time.

"Aru Shah, you made me the happiest guy in the whole world," I say, "I've liked you for a long time now, and I was stupid to not realize it. Well, I did, but I was confused then, but now, these feelings make perfect sense now that you're here with me showing your love for me. I love you. Will you be my girlfriend?" I said, smiling.

Aru looked suprised, but then she nodded, smiling at me too.

I felt very happy, because the girl of my dreams finally became mine. And I don't care if her love will kill me, I just want to be with her.
