"Hey!" Oh, thank God! I looked behind and saw Aizren staring blankly at us.
"I thought... I thought you le---"
"I can't leave you here alone." He looked me in the eye which somehow confused me. "Fucking excuse her, dude." He rolled his eyes and pulled me away from that guy with gray eyes.
Merda!
We went to the second counter, slightly far with that guy.
"Do you know him? Is he your boyfriend?" he asked, just looking at the monitor screen.
"No, he's not my boyfriend," I answered, slightly irritated by that guy.
"Ex?"
"Don't have an ex," I answered.
"Oh, then who is he?" he curiously asked. Napangiti naman ako nang tipid.
"Why are you curious?" I asked. He squinted and raised his left eyebrow afterwards.
"I'm just asking. Here in the Philippines, we don't get too much physical contact with someone if we aren't close." Oh, you locked me in your arms last night even if we do not know each other pa!
"Oh, is that so?" tanong ko na lamang. He just rolled his eyes. Ang lalaking tao pero maldita. "I don't know him, just happened to see him in the airport once and then we saw each other again... unfortunately," I answered,
"One thousand two hundred fifty-three and ninety-nine cents po, Ma'am, Sir." The cashier said with a smile. I gave her my card, napakunot pa ang noo niya dahil doon pero tinanggap niya rin naman. She swiped it on the scanner but it's just making a wrong sound. "Ma'am, we only accept Peso po." My eyes widened.
Shoot!
Hindi ko pa nga pala napapalitan ng peso yung euro ko!
Shit, I don't know what to do!
I heaved a sigh and swallowed all the embarrassment I felt and could feel after doing this...
"Uh, Miss, I am so sorry but I just landed here in the Philippines yesterday and I haven't given a chance to change my euros into pesos. I am sorry but can't you con---"
"Here, take my card instead." My eyes widened when Aizren cut me off and gave his card to the cashier, tinanggap naman niya yun habang napamaang ako kay Aizren.
What the hell?!
I am indebted to him!
"Have a nice day po, Ma'am and Sir!'' The cashier gave back his card and the paper bags. I carried all of them while Aizren's hands were in his pocket.
"I-I am so sorry for the inconvenience---"
"You are convincing me not to wait for you anymore, tapos wala ka naman palang peso? What if I really left?" he asked coldly, taking the lead. I just heaved a sigh.
"I am so sorry." I whispered, he just shook his head. "May alam ka bang money changer? I didn't know one kasi, eh."
He just rolled his eyes again before continuing walking.
"Langya, pinaglihi ka ba sa giniling at todo ikot yung mga mata mo?" I whispered beside me, kinabahan naman ako nang tumigil siya.
"Do you think I am joking around with you?" he asked, nakakasindak naman 'to! I just raised my hands in the air, the paper bags were hanging on my arms.
