Three weeks passed and Skye still haven’t spoken to her father, they walked around the house like they were strangers. One day he called her downstairs he wanted to talk to her about the past month since her mother left them. “Skye I know I failed you, but it is not my fought that your mother left you” Pastor Jackson said sitting down next to his daughter. “Whatever” Skye said scooting away from him. “Skye, Brain left me and you here to deal with this by ourselves and you sitting around here and making my home uncomfortable for me. I don’t even know where you be at half the time, it’s just like you don’t love me anymore since your mother dead. Yes I was seeing another man but what does that have to do with your mother’s death. I loved her and you know I did and for you to sit here and judge me like I didn’t give you all the world is just eating me up inside. I need your support, I start my new service for the church Sunday please just be there” Pastor Jackson said tearing up.

Look I don’t want to talk about it but if you really want to get deep, Brain walked out because you pushed him away. You lie, and want everybody to follow under your footsteps like you so godly, but you not you make mistakes and you tumble just like everyone else. You fall and I to get back up and start again just like the rest of us, but no one sees that, they just see the good ole pastor that preach to them every Sunday telling them what is right and wrong. Well guess what dad you are wrong now, you dead ass wrong you made your mistake and you fell now you looking at everybody to forgive and show sympathy but I’m not because I was raised by you. Yes I blame you for my mother dying because as soon as I saw you kiss that man I wake up the next day and my mother is gone. Dad I didn’t get to say goodbye, I didn’t get to see her smile one last time or touch her hand. God took her because he was testing you asking you to get up and be a man but you played the bitch. You made your bed now lay in it, don’t ever look at me for help or support because that is what mom was here for but you toyed with god and he took that good woman because you don’t deserve her” Skye said as she got up.

She ran to her room and slammed her door shut. He blames my brother the only one that took care of me these past 2 months she said in her head. The tears just started falling she tried but she couldn’t stop them. It felt like she was in the middle of the ocean and she couldn’t swim, she felt like she was drowning in her own tears. She thought to herself should I go to church and ask god to forgive me for my sins. She didn’t know it’s just hard trying to stand on both feet without a back bone. Brench was no longer coming around she still see him in school but since that not he haven’t really spoken to her. She tries calling him but he never picks up, she sees him in school but he acts as if they never met. It’s been so hard and nothing is turning out good.

Skye took at a pen and a sheet of paper and being writing…..

Dear God,

I know it’s been a while since we spoke, but I feel like giving up. I don’t know what to do or what to say please I need you right now shine your grace upon me. Show me that you still love and care for me; I need you to take this pain and hurt away. I have sinned and I’m asking for you to forgive me, I broke promises and I have gotten out of my character for non-sense. I will be in your home bright and early Sunday morning and I will be prepared for anything you throw at me. Please heavenly father just help me.

She finished writing her letter and laid on her bed. She stared out her window for a minute before she dosed off to bed.

The next day Skye woke up and she felt like a brand new her. She smiled at a picture of her mother that she kept on her night stand. She got in the shower did her hair and processed with her day. It was a Wednesday, so she went to school, like god has sent her mother back. When she walked in the building everyone was happy to see her smiling again. She has brightened since the last day they saw her. Ashley ran up to her and granted the biggest hug ever ending with a kiss on the cheek. She and Ashley walked down the halls like they couldn’t be touched. When she saw Brench all she could do was smile at him, nothing and no one could stop her today. A boy name Joshua walked up to her and said “Nice to see that beautiful smile again Skye”. “Thank you Josh, but I can’t dwell on the pass forever” she said still smiling. All of a sudden Brench came over there and grabbed her by the arm. “Ouch your hurting me, Brench let go” Skye was yelling. Brench did not let go he pause and looked her square in the eye. “How can you do that to me flirt with another guy in front of my face. Do you care for me at all?” he said. Skye snatched away from him and took off down the hall.
