I mean everyone is waiting for me Micha, Yuo, Sui. UGH! Why couldn't my mom drive me instead. Oh wait I'm here already. "RENATA THE GAME IS ABOUT TO START!" Sui yelled from across the gym. "SORRY I SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE EARLIER!" I yelled with half of my breath gone. "Well hurry up, we got a game to lose I MEAN win!" Yuo said. "THAT'S THE SPIRIT YUO! I have never heard you say that before." "Yeah." Yuo said looking at the ground.
"Well come on we can ju- WOAH!" Dang who was that. "Hey watch were you're goin- woah." " Who are you?" The women said with a snarky look. "Um my name is Renata Yamamoto, and you are?" I asked looking really scared as a cat. "Oh, haha my name is Emīca Ikeda. The setter of this team." "Oh OH you are that one pretty girl that is about to go into high school right?" I said with excitement in my face. "Oh so you know me, surprisingly I don't know you." Her team started giggling in the background. "Um Renata we should get going Yuo and Sui already left." Micha said. " You're right, well I will see you later Ikeda!" "See ya." We both walk away honestly I was pretty angry at her but she seemed like a really nice person. Well I hope so. "HELLO EVERYONE WELCOME TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT!" Everyone started clapping. "Dang this looks so cool!" Sui said with excitement and also jumping up and down. "I know right, just think if we win this we could look so cool!" I said also jumping up and down. "You guys please calm down." Micha said. "Sorry Micha." Sui and I said. "Ok guys let try our best!" I said. Well all walk on the court scared as before, Sui was about to cry Micha was about to walk out of the gym. Yuo was excited as I was. "Ok girls here we are, and please pull yourselves together please."
"Got it Renata!" "Ok ladies please shake hands before we start." Us and the other team walk up to the net. "Good luck." Then we start the match. "So are we serve or receive?" Sui said. "Uhhh I think we are serve, because the other team looks like they are in receive." "So uh SUI you serve!" I said. "But I can't serve Renata, and you know that. "Yeah but we kinda need you right now, so can you do it for us." "Ok I'll try." She went to the end of the line, got the ball from the line judge and serve. God I hope this goes over. Please don't let me down now ball.
"IT WENT OVER! IT WENT over." The play slam onto the ground. "Oh shoot." "You guys shouldn't get excited when the ball goes over, you should excited when you get the point." Someone on the other side of the net said. "S-shut up no one asked you." I said with a grumpy look. "We'll just saying when you go on a high school volleyball team some day you should of listen too me." "Maybe I will take that advice." "That's the spirit!" "RENATA GET BACK AND SERVE!" Micha yelled. "OH SORRY!" I ran to the back of the line. Ok please don't let me down. 3.. 2... 1... and it went right into the net. "OH DANG WHY CAN THIS WORK!" "Hey Renata you will get it next time!" "Thanks Yuo, you're a great friend. "Mhm!" "Hey Ref!" "Yes?" "Can we call a timeout?" "Of course!" "OK GUYS HUDDLE UP!" We talk about communication a lot and how to pass the ball, but I had no idea what I was doing and what I was talking about. "Team on three." "ONE TWO THREE TEAM!" Ok so it is twenty-one to fifth-teen, we are losing by six. Oooo come on Micha don't let us down now. "SERVES UP!" The other team yelled looking serious as ever before.
"Oh god they look scary. RENATA I'M NOT READY FOR THIS!!" Sui yelled in my ear. "I can see that but we have to play defense." "RENATA I GOT THE BALL SOMEONE GET IT!" "SUI GET THE BALL!" "ON IT!" Sui ran towards the ball trying to set the ball. "HERE YOU GO RENATA!" "Come guys we can block this... easily." "Holy crap she can jump." Oh come on get this one point Renata. "Woah, that was a hella of a kill." "YEAH RENATA!" Sui screamed. "That was really cool ." Said Micha. "Thanks guys!" "So uh- what's the score?" "It's twenty-four to seven-teen." Yuo said. "Come on guys let's win this!" I said with a lot of energy is my eyes. I was really excited to show this team what I got! Even though I sucked at passing and stuff, but I knew we could win this. "I'll serve this time." Yuo said. "Ok!" We all said. Yuo made the serve over, and now we got to play some good defense. "This is all yours Ikeda." One of the teammates said. "SLIDE!" Ikeada yelled. "What's a slide?" Sui asked. "I have no clue." Micha said all confused. By the time we said it the middle was on the right side already smacking the ball down on the ground. "Woah." I said with a shocked look on my face. That was the final point for them, so we lost the game. "Good game, you guys!" Sui said. "Good game." Ikeda said. "By the way Renata I thought you were going to win?" "I was just getting cocky, ok." "Ok, but maybe some day you might meet Sasha!" Who's Sasha I thought for awhile. Maybe i'll just never know. I biked home really disappointed in myself thinking what I could've done better in that game. Of course when I got home my mom wasn't home, cause she work night and day shift. So I took of my shoes when up stairs, took a shower put on some clothes, and went to bed. Ugh I can't wait to get to high school I think things are going to be so much better than this year. Maybe my mom might come watch one of my games, when I'm in high school. All that rambling made me go to sleep. Still I was pretty sad about that loss. But tomorrow is a new day am I right?
