"Stop. You can stay."

Ash looked at me funnily. His lips then curved into small smile.

"Maybe next time" he laughed as he began climbing out the window.

I felt like crying again, but he did say 'maybe next time.'

"Ash" I call out.

I was looking straight down, covering my so obvious red face. "Thanks for coming to see me, I needed it."

He looked at me again and smiled again. "I'm always here for you Serena."

The boy who snuck out and climbed through my window, jumped down, and was now walking away.

I close my window, lie in bed, shut my lights off, and go to sleep.

Ash's POV
I was jumped down, and started walking off of Serena's property. I smile as I walk a little too casually.

"Hold up, young man."

My body freezes in place, I knew who called me, and I had an urge to just run, but I fought that urge and turned to the women who called my name.

"Uggh- h—hi there ma'am" I say pathetically.

Her arms were crossed, and she looked pretty serious.

"If I'm not mistaken, you just came out of my daughters roo—

"It's not like that I swear, I cut her off, she's tutoring me" I cut her off.

"Listen son, I know who you are. Everyone does, and do you not remember that you had dinner here a couple days ago" the women says nicely.

She continues. "Listen I have no problem with you coming over and studying, it's just I got scared when I saw a boy walk out of her room. I don't want Serena to live that kind of lifestyle, I want her to be successful."

"You don't need to worry about that, she's like the smartest student in our grade, I heard she is trying to go to Lumiose" I speak up.

"Listen kid, it's late, I'm off to work, let me drive you home" the girls mother says.

"I think I'll be alright, you should get to work, I apologize for sneaking around your home" I say genuinely.

"Nonsense, let me take you home, I also want to talk to you about something" she replied.

I wasn't getting out of this, so I agreed and climbed into her passenger seat. Grace started the engine and began driving. I told her the address and started that way.

"Alrighty kid, let me tell you something" the women started.

"I had Serena when I was 18, during my senior year."

I turned to her shocked, I thought she was going to lecture me, but not tell me her life story.

She women then started again. "I was a young and dumb girl, and had boys sneaking into my room. Serena's father got me pregnant. I graduated high school and gave birth during the summer break. I decided not to go to college and start interning at a news company."

I nod my head, not really knowing where this was going.

"I get you're probably confused, but what I'm trying to say is life can be hard, but you have to make decisions, and hard ones at that" the women said.

"That's why I'm telling you, please try not to bring Serena into any major drama. I know she went to a party with you, and now she is staying up late" Grace spoke seriously.

"I know you're a good kid, but there are others at that school, and the ones you associate with, that are not good ones, and I need you steer Serena away from that."
