Ella gasped as the two angels crashed before the gates closed shut. Chloe pushed Trixie behind her as she watched the unbelievable scene unfolding before her. The fact that they were in Heaven had not quite yet sunk in to the detective and scientist's minds.

Jarqil was immediately on Ryliel, pulling him away from Marliel. Ryliel fought against him, throwing desperate punches. But then Gerliel came and threw a heavy punch in the side of Ryliel's head, to which the angel slumped to the ground unconscious. Or at least Chloe hoped he was just unconscious.

Ella had a hand clamped to her mouth, eyes wide and fearful. This was not how she expected to spend her night by a loooooooong shot.

"Should we take him to Hell?" Jarqil suggested excitedly. Marliel quietly contemplated it, but then shook her head. "No, it will take too long. Just lock him in a room with the other three. I'll be taking the blonde with me now."

Some time later, Ella, Rae-Rae, Trixie, and an unconscious Ryliel were all locked up in a windowless bedroom in one of the castles.

Ella still couldn't quite grasp the fact that they were in Heaven. HEAVEN! She couldn't even focus on keeping her brain from exploding from that fact because Chloe was in danger!

"This family, IS INSANE!" Ella exclaimed. "You need SERIOUS group therapy! Pronto!"

"Can't argue with you there." Rae-Rae agreed miserably. Trixie was sitting in the corner of the room crying. She had never felt more terrified in her life. Her mother was in danger, and there was nothing she could do. And she didn't know if Lucifer would be able to rescue them this time.

"Come on, Big Guy, this is your grandkid!" Ella begged, head tilted towards the sky (or, was there a sky above Heaven? Or was the sky below them?). "Do something! Or else, I'm never going to church again!" And Ella meant it. Even if she knew for a fact that God was real, she would renounce him if he just let this play out.

Ryliel groaned from his place on the bed, with his wings spread out around him. Ella had carefully taken the knife out of his wing, and tried to clean it to the best of her ability with some instructions from Rae-Rae. There was a bathroom adjoining the bedroom, where she was able to wet a towel to at the very least clean the blood away.

Ella was sitting at the edge of the bed, one hand resting in Ryliel's feathers. It strangely helped relax her, but not completely.

"Rylie?" Ella asked when she heard him groan. "Rylie, wake up." She begged as she gently moved her hand from his wing to shake his shoulder.

"Ell..." Ryliel breathed, not completely conscious yet. "Where..." And then the memories suddenly hit him like a train. "Shit!" He exclaimed as suddenly sat up. Ryliel winced in pain and rubbed his throbbing head.

He looked around the room, taking everyone into account. "Where's Chloe? And how long have I been out?" Ryliel asked calmly, trying to assess the situation before letting panic take the wheel.

"Marliel took her, and you've been out for about twenty minutes." Ella informed him miserably.

Ryliel took a deep breath. "Twenty minutes... Okay, that means that Chloe's still alive. There's this whole ritual thing Marliel has to complete first. If I had to guess, I'd say we have about thirty minutes left, give or take."

"Thirty minutes to do what?" Rae-Rae asked. "We're stuck in here, nobody on Earth knows where we are, and we have no weapons."

Trixie perked up at this and halted her crying. "Actually..." Trixie said as she pulled the blade from her pajamas pocket. "We do have the last one."
